Vriendelijke ontvangst, soms wat moeilijk te communiceren in het engels. Heel mooie locatie en gebouw en een nette ruime kamer met gebruik van frigo. eigen gratis parkeergelegenheid. Ga wandelen in de mooie tuin, wij waren er te vroeg maar bij bloei moet het er supermooi zijn. Ondanks we alleen waren in het restaurant was het gezellig en lekker tafelen en de bediening was top.
Het ontbijt viel tegen voor dit 4 sterren hotel, veel keuze was er niet, in brood en toespijs bijna geen variatie , maar we waren er maar met een paar gasten, misschien daardoor. Wij vonden het niet passend bij dit mooie hotel .

El edificio, un convento reconvertido en hotel con un bonito claustro y un gran jardín para disfrutar de la estancia. Muy bien situado, tanto para ir andando al centro como para acercarse en coche a diferentes puntos de interés de la zona. A destacar la cercanía del Pazo da Brejoeira que merece una visita.
Las zonas de pasillo estaban un poco frías y la habitación en el propio convento tardó en calentarse.

The location is ideal for anyone visiting Monção and the building & grounds are beautiful. The pool was a strange color during our visit so we didn't venture in it. Our room in the convent wing was clean and comfortable. Unlike other reviewers, we found the breakfast to be more than ample.
The staff are either inexperienced or poorly trained or both. All the staff we encountered were, at best, neutral or disinterested. Upon arrival there was no greeting beyond a cursory hello when they finally looked up and during check in, reception staff carried on a discussion between themselves. No information on facilities and services was offered. We found printed information in our room and when we called reception to book, they quoted a different price.
The bathroom was very dated and in need of an upgrade. There was no hot water and the shower hose was broken. This was resolved eventually but no apologies from the staff at all.
It's a shame, with better staffing, this hotel would be absolutely lovely but with the current management, we would not stay here again.
