Amigos Hotelito

Amigos Hotelitos is easily one of our favorite stays in Mexico. It’s small, charming, and has a wonderfully personal feel no generic plastic key cards here, just a real key and an authentic atmosphere. I stayed here as a mother traveling with two young adults, and our room was surprisingly spacious and very well suited for the three of us. The room was super comfortable, and relaxing in the hammock while taking in the lagoon views was unbeatable. The bathroom might be on the cozy side, but the custom tap with water flowing through a large seashell was such a cool, creative touch that made up for the whole bathroom! Make sure to order breakfast in advance; it is 100% worth it for a wonderfully relaxed start to your day. Taking the kayaks out onto the water right after made it even better. If you're visiting Bacalar and looking for a relaxed, authentic spot right on the water, this is it. Highly recommended!

A great little hotel with only five rooms, so it never felt crowded or busy. The communal area was lovely, with tea, coffee and water available at all times. They also provide kitchenware, which is very convenient if you want to prepare your own simple meals. The pier is fantastic and very well maintained. A great bonus is the free kayaks available to guests. You don’t need to pay for expensive excursions — you can simply take a kayak and, within about 10 minutes, reach Cenote Negro, or paddle a little further to Bird Island. A lovely, peaceful place with some great facilities and excellent access to the lake.

Very very poor and old fashioned decorated . It does not have any character, just functional . Also very limited level of service or communication.
