Our host, Wayan, was so lovely. She met us at the property in the early hours of the morning to give us the keys and orient us to the villa. The property was beautiful and a short walk to the beach. It was in a quiet area, with cafes, a mini mart and money exchange nearby. There was ample space in the villa for our family of four and the pool was lovely. There was even a water filter in the room proving bottled water for us.

We enjoyed everything.

We loved our stay here. The place was clean and up a quiet alley, but still in walking distance to main shops and food, however we hired motorbike to get around. 24 hr Convenience store across the road. 5 min walk to beach. Great location. Just a short taxi or motorbike ride to Kuta/Legian. The pool was great to return to after an outing or just a lazy day in. Wayan our host was fantastic. Drinking water is supplied. Rooms and linen so clean. We will definitely return

Having to leave

The pool was great for the kids to play in all day long, and was a nice warm temperature. Air conditioning and wifi worked well in all rooms. Selena and her staff were always very helpful and organised a driver to collect us from the airport upon arrival. The driver was very friendly and even offered to stop anywhere we wanted to get food on the way to the villa. Villa was a great option to have the kids close to us instead of being in separate rooms in a hotel. It always felt very private and quiet, close walk to the beach, a couple of very nice local cafes and mini mart that made getting water or small bits and pieces very easy to get 24hrs a day. There was a laundry right outside that was very cheap to have our washing done. Security was always present at the entrance to the villas.

The location was great. The property was really clean, staff were super friendly. Villa felt really safe. Walking distance to the beach, Seminyak Square and restaurants.

Noisy neighbours in surrounding Villas. Late night parties well past 3am most nights.

The property is perfectly located minutes from the beach. Laundry right next door and minimart just up the road. Staff are so friendly and accomodating and go above and beyond to meet your needs. Facilities were clean and well maintained and looked exactly like the photos. Highly recommend this villa.

The size of Villa great location very good for Seminyak

The place needs a lot if work done to get property up to scratch. Decking is dangerous slippery when went so getting out if pool terrible when it rained deadly. Bath cracked and mould around drain toilet bowl cracked, towels need replacing they are horrible and stained, thin and old. The family room/kitchen could not be used it stinks and has a foul smell, and cupboard doors falling off or hard to open and stink inside. The utensils are old and not nice! Seriously not even a welcome tray of tea/coffee/sugar considering the price you charge not worth the money ! Also the main entrance into the complex is horrible rubbish at the gate and old bits of furniture dumped at gate a big turn off !

Quiet area, clean property, lovely staff

All rooms open to the pool and are not connected internally. We were travelling with young kids so couldn’t put them in a room together overnight. Some small maintenance items to be addressed.

Wayan was there to greet us and it was a lovely welcome with things we requested already in the fridge. The villa itself is as pictured and although I have added some photos with this review it was as we were leaving so not the neatest looking with our stuff everywhere, apologies for that. The pool doesn't get a lot of sun but great size for us 4 adults to take a dip in. Kitchen and living area was also a good size too and the kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook if you wanted but we used the local Warungs and brought it back and reheated if needed. We kept the living area doors to the pool open most of the time as we made our own patio area just outside rather than sitting inside all the time. We were in Bed 2 I would assume as the bedroom closest to living area has a bigger bathroom with a lovely bath and was just a bit bigger with a desk in the bedroom too. There is also a spare toilet next to the living area which would be handy if you had guests over. The property is a short walk to the beach, about 300m and the main stretch of Jl Camplung Tanduk about 600m or if you wanted to head to Ku De Ta about 10 minute walk. There is a small 7eleven about 10 steps from the entrance of the villa property, you just have to cross the road as it's a bit hidden if you don't look for it. The Coffee Corner about 150m up Jl Sari Dewi has great coffee and breakfast is amazing, we tried most things and nothing disappointed. The villa was cleaned and everything changed daily and Wayan was the most helpful, attentive woman and she would do anything if asked. We also felt very secure in the compound.

Not a negative as such but there are about 8 villas in the compound so kids can be heard having fun in the pool and the music can be heard from other villas if they're playing it loud. We didn't have a problem with anything as those things have never bothered me but it could depending on who you travel with.

The Villa was very comfortable and clean. What wasn’t explained was the two bedrooms/two baths and kitchen area are not accessible from indoors. You need to go into the courtyard from each bedroom to enter the kitchen. The kitchen/living area was stocked with everything you may need. That room also had a 1/2 bath. The TV’s and some lights weren’t working but we’re fixed when I told the manager. The private pool was very enjoyable.

The property false advertised about it being beachfront! This property is a good 8 minute walk from the beach. It is NOT beachfront. Also, it’s a good 15 minute walk down a dark street to the Main Street to get to restaurants and shops. If you’re young, this shouldn’t be a problem but we are senior adults and it was very inconvenient.

Wayan, the Villa manager, was lovely. She attended daily to make up beds, clean and deliver fresh towels.

The Villa is looking a little tired and could do with a makeover.

My family and I had an amazing stay at Villa Manis Manis - it was clean, comfortable and catered to all our needs. We especially appreciated the water filter fountain as it saved us from needing to buy bottles of water. Our host Wayan is a lovely person and made sure we were comfortable during our stay - she also made us feel special by welcoming us with scattered rose petals, and was very helpful and caring when I fell ill during the stay. I would highly recommend this villa, and thank you again to Wayan for being so lovely.

The only slight downside to staying here was the long walk to get from the villa to the main street - taxis also struggled with the address and found it confusing to get there unless directed the entire way.

Did not include breakfast, and we didn't cook at all

Nice pool and clean place to spend a week with the family

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa La Bora. The location is just 2 min walk from the beach and few more from the restaurants and shops. The place has been freshly renovated, clean and well maintained by the lovely Ibu Wayan. The hosts were easy to contact and arriving/leaving was made very easy. I will defenetly come back again.

good location nearby with a small walk to everything and minimarts nearby. friendly cleaner everyday. was good getting a driver to check us in for $20aud (note that blue bird taxis (via the app) are around $3aud to most places so only use them for checkin or checkout if leaving at night maybe.) despite the issues ive said below had a good time. can also get a massage in ur room for $15aud/hour (is good as we went to a cheaper($7) place on the street and they tried to rob us)

other villa option nearby looked newer, bigger, nicer and cleaner for a cheaper price if im going to bali again will probs go to them. place is a bit run down and needs some new paint, looks worse compared to the photos. stayed in "villa la bora", i assume the photos are of a different villa "villa manis manis" as it is a different place than most of the photos. pool started off good as we requested but after a couple days turned very murky/green. they had a guy trying to fix it everyday but he couldnt obviously. pool tiles also broken. kitchen/living room has a bad smell from the toilet. aircon a bit loud. paint falling off walls.

The housekeeper was incredibly kind and helpful to arrange a taxi and laundry service. She was very responsive and came to the property every day at a time that was convenient for us to clean. The property is very close to the beach and central to lots of great restaurants, however they are easier to get to via scooter. The room was comfortable and very clean, aside from the fact it needs some definite maintenance.

We were shocked to arrive and see the pool was completely green. We still tested it swimming, but it stained my husband’s swim shorts yellow and we weren’t able to wash it out. We notified the housekeeper who promptly sent the pool guy to check on it. He put some chemicals inside which did help, but overall I don’t think they’ve been paying him to come and maintain it regularly as the previous guests also noted the pool was in this state. The property itself appears to be in need of a lot of maintenance to compare with the photos which had to be taken years ago. There were stains in the kitchen sink and floor, broken tiles in the pool, chipped and peeling paint on most of the walls inside and out and plaster falling from the roof outside. The toilets were clean, but stained black from what I assume was stagnant water from Covid. I do not think the photos and price reflect the property accurately and we were really disappointed.

-Wayan the housekeeper was lovely & very friendly -the location is great and quiet: it’s about 3 mins to the beach and about 10-15 min walk to eat street in Seminyak (quicker on scooters) -we were able to do a late checkout for $100 USD which is about $155 AUD as per current conversion rate and left around 6:30pm for our 10pm flight

-to be honest we were a little shocked when we arrived at how different we felt the Villa looked in comparison to photos, definitely very similar but you can tell there hasn’t been much maintenance happening and therefore doesn’t look as fresh as portrayed in photos, potentially due to COVID (eg paint peeling+++, bathrooms were a bit grungy especially the toilet & shower screens, 2x TV in bedrooms not working and the one in the living room that did work was very staticy) -aircon didn’t work amazingly and was always set to lowest temp but never reached it -pool was a bit green and murky -none of the bedrooms connect with the living so you need to walk outside to get to the kitchen which isn’t an issue, but just felt a bit odd and wasn’t clear from the photos -definitely paying for location, wouldn’t class it as a 4 star, more a 3 star accomodation -go jek had a lot of trouble finding us, it was a constant battle chasing them down in the street

The Housekeeper Walan made the trip, she organised anything we needed, made sure the property was clean and even checked in daily to make sure we were ok and safe. one of the nicest and hardest working people I have met 2. The pool although not heated the sun warms it up 3. Such a quiet street 4. The location is a 2 minute walk to the beach 5. Security at the front that does not allow anyone to come into the property to make sure we are always safe 6. The property was so clean
