This was our first visit to Crete, the island is beautiful & the people warm & friendly. The views from the villa are stunning & watching the sun rise over the mountains in the mornings was one of our favourite times of the day. The location is spot on, Agia Galini is quiet in the day & comes to life at night time. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to browse around, the patisserie chocorello serves great coffee, pastries & cake & the people that run it are very friendly. The villa itself is quite small but had more or less everything we needed. The bed in the master room was very comfortable but the 2 single beds in the second bedroom were rock hard & there was no wardrobe because the room wasn't big enough. The sofa in the living room was uncomfortable but it didn't bother us because we spent most of our time outdoors. The villa itself is immaculately clean & the cleaner was there every other day quite early but she was very friendly & respectful and would ask us what time would be better to come back if we weren't ready, she seemed really nice and did a brilliant job. The pool man also came round every other day & did a thorough job. However we think that maybe the pump wasn't up to the task because we had an awful lot of debris on the bottom of the pool most of the time & we needed to spend 20 minutes cleaning it every day before we could get in. We did as recommended & showered before & after going in the pool but unfortunately it did seem to leave our white clothes green so a few swimsuits had to be binned when we left. We were a little confused about the included breakfast because apart from when we got there we didn't get any again. The welcome pack included cereal, milk, bread, beer, juice, jam, wine and fruit which was very appreciated after a long journey and arriving so late. Other reviews had stated that they received breakfast everyday & it was plentiful & we were asked once during our stay by the cleaner if we wanted breakfast that day which we declined because by that point we had bought our own stuff in and it was later in the morning. It was no problem buying our own food in, it perhaps just needs to be a bit clearer in the listing whether it's a one off breakfast or an everyday event. The cats were a problem for us drinking put the pool and bothering us while we were eating. Car hire maybe wasn't as smooth as we have experienced in past holidays. Overall we had a fantastic holiday & can't wait to visit Crete again.

Sehr netter Empfang, guter Service! Leider mussten wir aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nach 10 Tagen abreisen und konnte die Villa mit Pool nicht 20 Tage geniessen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Auto notwendig, kann über die Eignerin gemietet werden. Liste mit diversen Telefon-Nr. wie Polizei, Feuerwehr, Arzt, 24 Std. Arzt in Damia Oder Rethimno oder Arzt in der Nähe.

The view with the pool is stunning. We stayed for 3 days and got plenty of things for breakfast. It’s pretty cheap for the value you get. We got no information about our arrival procedure. So we stayed in front of the car gate which we had no clue how to open. We arrived 1 hour earlier as we mentioned (5pm in stead of 6pm) Oreotravel wasn’t answering our request. So we wanted to wait in the car another hour. As we turned the car a bit further on the street we saw that the gate got open and we drove in. Think we just were lucky. The key were in the house. I would have liked to get more information regarding our arrival. Additionally, I think because any guest has to open every window as they leave, there were pretty many ants which really wasn’t nice. The house had an spray to kill them immediately but there were really a lot of them.
