    Overall, our stay at the hotel was quite good. However, our first impression was disappointing. When we arrived, it was raining heavily. While we were walking to the hotel in the rain, we came across a staff member driving one of the hotel’s three-wheeled utility vehicles. We politely asked if we could get a ride to the reception because of the rain, but he told us that the vehicle was only for transporting luggage. To our surprise, just as we were about to reach the reception, we saw the same staff member arriving with foreign guests riding in the vehicle. That was quite disappointing and gave us the impression that the rule was not applied consistently. A little fairness and consideration would have made a much better first impression.

    The resort is dominated by the many divers who have exclusive use the small pool outdoor areas m. They drink at the bar, smoke in the public areas and keep to themselves. There isn’t a restaurant so breakfast is taken at a nearby restaurant. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming and didn’t seem to know that I had breakfast included in my rate. The room was good but there ate better beaches on the island. Beware the over subscribed coral island snorkel tours which leave from the nearby beach. I didn’t feel particularly safe notwithstanding I’m a very strong swimmer.
