We arrived to eat at 11:15 but our reservation was at noon. We went to see if we could be seated earlier and that’s when we were told that it is closed 11:00 to 12: 00 for switching out from breakfast to lunch. The matre’de was nice enough to seat us early and gave us the menu. After reviewing the menu, she came out and told us that if we wanted a burger, it would be at least an hour before they could serve that. Of course that’s what we wanted.

Beautiful resort and un-matched location. You can see both the Atlantic and the sound from the upstairs lobby area. Outside facilities are really nice (even though much was closed due to the off season). Very nicely decorated. Lots of amenities (in normal season) and would be great for families.
Multiple problems with state of repair and cleanliness.
Dead mesquites all over the window trim and woodwork in upstairs lobby. The place was only at 10% capacity (per employe) yet they couldn't clean the areas people congregate in. Our room, #316, had a broken door stop, closet doors which need adjusted and won't close properly, a TV which has Direct TV service but couldn't receive major networks, and spotty internet coverage. We and another guest smelled the pungent aroma of pot having been smoked in the downstair lobby area of the south hotel building. Not good. Pillows not very comfy.
The restaurant - The Life Saving Station - does not have its outside lights on and looks closed. We wandered in for dinner and were the only one there. No wonder, people just drive by thinking it is closed.

The restaurants, beach and location were great!
I was given a small room facing the parking lot with a dangerous balcony. I booked an Ocean View Junior Suite in November 2024 through Booking.com for a vacation in July 2025. After one night in the small room, I complained to the front desk. They didn't have anything else for me. Then late afternoon on the second day the manager found a junior suite for me, facing the parking lot and again, no ocean view. I did not receive the room I booked and paid for. Main building has no elevator. Also, dogs on furniture in common areas. Bathroom sink in second room backed up.
