Minh Quang homestay

The family was so super kind and nice. They even offered a private 3.5h boat tour to a neary cave for us for 1.000k VND. Our room with sight to the neraby rice fields was very clean and the dining terrace was such a meditative place that we enjoyed just sitting and chilling there. Speaking of the food: just super delicious and super fair priced for breakfast/lunch/dinner! We enjoyed the stay more than in every prior hotel. Thanks to you!

I found the mattress hard to sleep on, but that’s really not their problem!

The hosts are very nice and go out of their way to help. The room, while simple, is nice and clean. The air conditioning worked good and saved me in the cold.

Its very difficult to get around and make plans. You can rent a debilitated bicycle from the homestay to get around, but it barely moves up the muddy road and you kinda just walk it any uphill. Sightseeing is far, best option is to rent a boat tour (the full day one the homestay offers is great) but unless you rent a tour guide or something, you will struggle. Food is a bit different than usual, while it was delicious they only served dinner. One morning i asked for breakfast and they serve pancakes, but i was hungry daytime for the rest of the days.

Great building with comfortable rooms even tho the beds were very very hard...the water was hot and the aircon worked well. The ease of access to the building from the road was much better than others in Pac Ngoi village....no steep staircase. The views from the dining room and balconies was wonderful...overlooking the rice paddies and lake in the distance. The food was very good...typical simple breakfast and a big spread for dinner. The place was new and clean and the bicycles for rent worked well. The day trip on the boat was very nice...we really enjoyed it.

The staff here speaks almost no English....but even using google translate we found them to be very un-co-operative in helping us. They kept insisting that the only way out of town was by private car....even though we were sure there were other options. We ended up visiting another homestay called Babe Lakeview Homestay where the staff also spoke little English but were very willing to help us book a taxi to Cho Ra and organized us bus tickets from there to our next destination. The Ming Quang staff did not let us know that we could rent bicycles from there so we ended up renting those from another guesthouse. I would rate this place much higher if the staff was more willing to accommodate foreign guests...
