The hotel has a beautiful design, comfortable rooms, and a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The overall atmosphere is nice, and the property has a lot of potential.
The biggest disappointment was the food. Breakfast and dinner were inconsistent, ordering the same dish on different days resulted in completely different quality and presentation. Several menu items were unavailable throughout my stay, which was frustrating. The dining experience was below average and didn’t match the quality of the hotel itself.

I liked how comfortable the bed and pillows were, the shower was very spacious and most of all the location of the hotel was very central and close to everything. Great restaurants were within walking distance, and it felt safe staying there even though it was along the main road.
I stayed at The Gunawarman in 2020 and loved that experience, however this time paled in comparison. I was charged extra for wanting to check in 1.5 hours earlier at 1.30pm instead of 3pm. The hotel and room is definitely dated. As it was a smaller property, loud music from the lobby on Friday night could be heard in the room.

This is a very cute hotel in an old heritage building. Lovely furnishings and an excellent restaurant and bar.
No breakfast was included, had to purchase it, and the pastries were stale. Staff were unfriendly, and the room had a drainage issue. Very expensive considering no breakfast, pool, gym, etc. and average service.
