About this house rental
Domaine de Kokotia is a quiet idyllic family complex with terraced houses in the Acotz area of St Jean de Luz, 4.5 km from the centre of St Jean de Luz itself. Rental of the property provides access to the excellent on-site facilities: Shared use of a swimming pool (9 x 18 m, open between mid June & mid September), tennis Courts (2x hard court), children's playground, Frontón to play pelota, little football pitch with goals and basketball hoops. The Shopping centre is 1 km away from the property. Parking is available in front of the house. The summit of La Rhune dominates the view from the (60m2) back garden and terrace area (garden furniture and BBQ provided).
Coast/Beach: 2 Minutes walking distance from the closest beaches. Dozens of beaches within a few kilometres north or south, including many excellent surfing locations.
Golf/Skiing: There are 7 golf courses within 20 minutes drive: Golf de Biarritz, Golf de Chiberta, Golf d’Ilbarritz, Makila Golf Club, Golf d’Arcangues, Golf de la Nivel, Golf de Chantaco. Within a further 30/40 minutes away there are 6 other courses: Golf Epherra, Golf de Salies de Bearn, Golf d’Hossegor, Golf de Seignosse, Golf de Pinsolle and Golf de Moliets. Please note that a golf pass exists for 5 of them (Biarritz, Arcangues, Moliets, Makila and Seignosse). A number of different ski stations in France (e.g. Gourette, Irati) or Spain (Candanchu) approx 2 hours by car.
There are several airports in the surrounding: the nearest is Biarritz,only 10 minutes from the house, from Pau it takes less than 1 hour, from Bordeaux or Bilbao about 2 hours and from Toulouse 3 hours.
Easy drive to Lourdes.
During high season July & August bookings need to be from Saturday to Saturday.

Belle maison, spacieuse, très bien équipée. Belle piscine au sein de la résidence très agréable. Et la proximité de la plage est vraiment top.
Bémols: l'absence de réponse de home partner en cas de sollicitations: ils ne prennent pas les appels et ne répondent pas aux sms. Et les voisins espagnols, peu discrets et ne faisant pas attention aux autres (se garent mal, font du barbecue à côté du linge qui sèche)...

Nous connaissions déjà la résidence Kokotia, très bien placée et mignonne.
La maison est tout à fait correcte, propre, calme et idéalement située, avec notamment un joli jardin et une vue sublime mais pas mal de détails nous ont déçus.
- La procédure d’arrivée : il faut aller prendre les clés dans St Jean de Luz, impossible de s’y garer au mois d’août ! Et après 10h de trajet, c’est « moyen ».
- Odeur de renfermé très tenace. Il nous a fallut aerer pendant 3-4 jours pour qu’elle s’estompe.
- Volets déroulants fonctionnant très mal.
- Pas assez de vaisselle (nous avons dû acheter un lot de 6 petites cuillères !).
Ces détails ne sont pas rédhibitoires (nous avons passé un excellent séjour) mais facilement réglables pour rendre la location parfaite.
Par ailleurs le plafond est très bas à l’étage (1m60 environ). Ne comptez pas y faire dormir des adultes.
