Family owned apartment in Lauterbrunnen. One bedroom with 2 singles and another single which can be converted to a double.Living room has sofa bed, international satellite TV, DVD player, stereo and docking station. Bathroom with bath and power shower. Kitchen is small but well equipped with dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. Private balcony overlooking Staubbach waterfall. Private basement utility and store room with washing machine and dryer. Shared games room with table tennis, bats and balls are supplied. Sauna is shared and costs 1Chf. Superfast Wi-Fi throughout. Ski and boot room in basement. Private off road, covered parking bay.

Located at end of village. Lauterbrunnen shops are 8 min walk and station 15 min. Station links by cable car to Murren and cog railway to Wengen and the ski slopes above. Bus stops are approx. 50m from front door and goes to Lauterbrunnen station and on to Stechelberg cable car station, from where you can get to Murren and the top of the Schilthorn. Property suits couple or family with children. Easy access to skiing in the Bernese Oberland, walking and hiking all year plus other outdoor pursuits.

Skiing and winter sports: Ski hire can be obtained from Crystal Sport in the village on the main street, ski passes obtained from the train station and cable car station at Stechelberg. Skiing in Wengen, Murren and Grindelwald. Good skiing for beginners as well as more competent skiers. Ski schools in all three resorts. Cross country skiing in the valley. Ice skating in Wengen and Murren. Sports centre (including pool) in Murren. Swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) in Lauterbrunnen. Tennis courts in Lauterbrunne, Wengen and Murren.

We loved our stay at the Barrett's apartment in Lauterbrunnen. You couldn't ask for a better location. Just a 10 minute walk from restaurants, shopping and the train station. But the best part is the view! The iconic Lauterbrunnen view of Staubach Falls right in front of you! Gorgeous!

Everything was provided to us prior to arrival regarding location, access parking etc. Location had amazing views right next to the church and the waterfall. the apartment had everything we needed and we hope to return next year for a longer stay.

You will find no better view anywhere in Lauterbrunnen! The photos on this listing do not do this place justice. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the back patio and our evenings with a glass of wine or beer with our jaws hung open the entire time. You will get to view the many moods of the valley from the best seat in the house as this place is directly across from the largest freestanding waterfall in Europe (Stabbuch falls) and you'll hear the bells from the church before nearly anyone else in the valley. (You'll get used to the bells quickly, they aren't annoying and you'll have the added benefit of being able to count how poorly you're adjusting to the jetlag 😂) One of our favorite things to do was people watch "the spot" where everyone takes their photo of the valley. (There's a little shortcut path up to the train station that gives a great view of the church and the falls. Everyone takes selfies here, and you get to watch it from the comfort of the patio.) They start early and there's almost always people there wearing all sorts of crazy outfits. I'm almost afraid to post this review because this place is such a hidden gem and I'm afraid if everyone knows there's no way we'd be able to afford to get back into here. (And we will be back!)

Nice property, great location to food, shops, hiking! Very clean and hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with. We were in town for a wedding and were able to see much of the surrounding countryside while at the same time being close to things to do.

We absolutely loved this property and would definitely stay here again. The views were incredible. It is clean, safe, comfortable, and the parking is wonderful. It is a short walk up to town on a traffic-free path. When we arrived Tinka and Tunka (the names I gave the dairy cows) were munching in the small meadow in front of the property. We love cow bells and also church bells, which also regularly ring. In fact, one morning, we got up to investigate and Tinka gave birth to a calf, that I called Tonka. That was SO cool to witness! This location is very convenient to cable car and cogwheel train transportation to Wengen and to Murren and on to Schilthorn. As a previous reviewer noted, the non-working hair dryer was immediately replaced when I contacted the owner and management company. We purchased additional Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods for our morning coffee, however, there was also a regular coffee maker. The kitchen has everything needed and the refrigerator is large. I had a medical emergency and owner, Alice, quickly advised me where to get help (we're Americans and not used to the medical system). I spent a lot of time on the comfy couch gazing out the window at the rock wall, while my spouse kept me company in the relaxing chairs. We also appreciated the large dining table for our work. The outdoor deck looks out onto the loveliest views and, at night, the waterfall and church steeple are lighted. We hope to come back soon!

This was one of the cleanest and best managed properties I’ve rented. The organization and cleanliness were exceptional. The apartment is small but you could tell the owner took a lot of time and effort to make it cozy and feel much bigger. The view from the balcony is stunning. I spent every free second out there that I could. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Three of us had a wonderful 5 night stay at this lovely apartment located in such a gorgeous location. Location was amazing! The view of the waterfalls and mountains from the patio was spectacular. Communication with Alice was easy and she was quick to respond. Very detailed instructions with photos given, both prior to arrival and posted throughout apartment. Very well equipped apartment with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay. We did a lot of cooking ourselves and found all the kitchen utensils we needed. We loved our time in this location with so much to see and do! Hopefully we’ll be back again someday soon!

The appartment has everything you need. The view on the mountains and little church of Lauterbrunnen is beautiful. Very close to a public bus stop that brings you to the railway station (fee included with skipass). Very quick and good contact with frzndlyowner, and all is well indicated and explained. The appartement has everything you need, efficient and nicely decorated. It has a beautiful view from the dining table to the waterfall. The location of the appartement in Lauterbrunnen is very nice: centre can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes. Close to bus stop to railway station. Everything is very well indicated in the appartement on how to use and instructions. Check in and check out super fluent.

We've just returned from a week in Lauterbrunnen, the apartment is perfectly located, with a fabulous view and offered everything you could ever want or need. We loved sitting on the balcony listening to the stream and the every changing scenery. There is so much to do here, a week really wasn't enough so would love to go back!

This apartment is located on the north end of Lauterbrunnen next to a stream and open field. It is clean and comfortable with all you need for an extended stay. The main part of town and train station is within easy walking distance. The patio was so pleasant with the views and sounds of streams, waterfalls and the bells of grazing cattle that we ate a relaxing dinner at the apartment several times. The local church is very close and they love ringing the bells several times during the hour - and during the night as well so be prepared for some Swiss village character with your sleep. We had a bit of trouble hooking up with the property manager but the set up for getting into the apartment and the information for staying there was well done and thus did not cause much of a problem. We checked in and out of the apartment with no contact. We also had a bit of a problem with the WIFI but were able to get ti resolved. One other comment, eating in Lauterbrunnen can be a bit of a challenge if you decide to just go out and have a meal. We were there as the main season was ending and restaurants wee cutting back and filled up quickly. We planned ahead and made reservations for dinner or bought our own meal fixings from the local stores.

We are a family of 4 and stayed here July 2018 for 5 nights. Not a big unit for all 4 of us but with the location, awesome views and the nice balcony (I wish the neighbors didn't smoke so mush), we were all super happy and would have loved to stay there longer. And please keep in mind, this is a small town with limited availability ;-) I enjoyed walking to the town almost every day to do our shoppings. Kids loved the river and the play ground near by. Also, you can easily visit all attractions in the area from this location. We did have a car but really didn't use it much while there and visiting the area. Kitchen has everything you need. Owner is very organized and have all the necessary info for you in a binder. Be aware you are mandated to take away your recycling which is in the town. We found that a bit stressful while trying to pack, check out, and leave.To wrap things up, book this place with confidence and we would love to come back another time =)

We so enjoyed the view, access to rail and bus transport, and the small, helpful community. Although surprised with the need to buy home supplies, we adapted. The apt. was comfortable and quiet, the area full of matchless beauty, and the kitchen allowed cooking for our dietary restrictions. We missed getting the guest card for our week of discounts but very little else. No wonder the family has loved and shared it for so many years.

This spot fit us perfectly. We were primarily hiking during our stay so the smaller size for 2 was perfect, because we were not there much. All needs were met, and it was quiet for sleeping at night. The bottle of wine that Luis brought over was a nice touch and yummy. The balcony was great for looking at the falls and the beautiful mountains.

We thorouhly enjoyed our stay at Ey Hus. Located just outside the town, near the church, it is nice and quiet but only a 10 min walk to the trainstation and shop. Bus stops almost in front of the door for those who dont want to walk. Ideal for a small family or couple. Well equipped kitchen with basic essentials offerd by host (sugar, dishwasher cubes,sponges, detergent) which we highly appreciated and easy to use washer and dryer. The manager Luis is extremely friendly and helpful. We spent many an evening on the small terrace overlooking the stream, falls and church. We highly recommend this property! It fully meets the description given on the website with an extra touch of hospitality. Thanks for the chocolats and wine 😀

We really enjoyed our stay in Switzerland. This apartment is ideally located to easily reach everything the Bernese Oberland has to offer in summer. It also has all the necessary amenities for a family of four traveling light. We made great use of the kitchen, washer, dryer, and especially the balcony...the view from the apartment is stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this comfortable flat, conveniently located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Everything was well though out. We were trying to save money by eating out just once (Camping Jungfrau restaurant was wonderful) during our five night stay, and the kitchen had all of the cookware and accessories that made this very easy. The combination key box made our late arrival easy. Helena came by and answered all of our questions the next day. She was very well informed and was a big help in helping us feel at home and decide what to do during our stay. All in all a great holiday.

The 5 stars say it all. Both owner and property manager were very helpful and easy to communicate with. The apartment had everything we needed. Laundry room was especially helpful to have as we stayed almost a week. From Lauterbrunnen train station, it was an easy 15 minute walk with rolling luggage. 10 minutes if you take the short cut without big luggage. Easy and quick access to bus stop (1 minute walk). Grocery store in town and camp close to apartment. Easy trail leading up to the falls you see behind the apartment. We also did a walk to Trummelbach Falls along the river behind the apartment. It was easy walk and takes about 45 minute brisk walk. Again, great town and place to stay.

My 3 sons and I stayed at the lovely Ey Hus in September, 2010. The owner's communication was fantastic. He gave precise, clear directions for all aspects of the apartment with clear expectations. We loved the apartment. It was clean and well maintained. The view was fantastic! The amenities were great. With 3 boys, having access to a washing machine and dryer was most helpful. They loved the game room and we enjoyed some of the movies. The internet connection was great and since one of my son's had 2 online class to attend, this was great. We all enjoyed the sauna after many long hikes. The beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a local friend of the owner's that checked to make sure all was well. This was a nice touch, although we really didn't need anything. The location was excellent. A bus stop is nearby and the train station is not far, although it is a steep hike up to the station. We mostly ate in, purchasing from the local Co-op store but did enjoy some fondue at one of the local hotels. Yum! We would love to stay here again and often talk fondly of the fantastic week we had here. Thanks so much!

This comfortable apartment is wonderfully situated in Lauterbrunnen. It has everything you could want, including washer dryer, extremely well equipped kitchen, wi-fi and satellite tv - important as the Olympics were on during our stay!Perfect for two, a tight squeeze for four, but do-able - the sofa -bed was actually quite comfy. We were staying two weeks with our daughter and boyfriend arriving for a week's break. Initial problem with not enough bed-linen sorted straight away. Thanks, Peter and to Kath Berger. We mainly cooked in - thanks to the great kitchen facilities but would recommend eating out in Hotel Oberland (for the rosti) and Camping Jungfrau restaurant for excellent Pizza and great customer service. Had a disappointing experience in Sina's in Wengen. Did the usual tourist things, Schilthorn etc as this was daughter's first time in the area, but for the most stunning views I can recommend the walk from Grutschalp to the Stubli at Sulwold, where for the price of a drink you can sit and be amazed at the most heavenly view of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

we stayed here 1 week Aug 2011. It is less than 15 min walk from train. As in many swiss towns the church bells ring all night but this was far enough away, with windows closed it was not an issue. A VERY livable place. Small, but has everything needed, good cookware, internet, washer dryer, and a great base to see the area. good space in bedroom with extra bed. nice large balcony over a creek. .Owner is very organized. We were very happy here. EXCELLENT value.

We stayed in Ey Hus for a week at the end of May 2011.This was our second visit to Lauterbrunnen & God willing it will not be our last. What can we say about Ey Hus except that it was HEAVENLY. The location was perfect, peaceful & quiet & within walking distance of the village & in case you did not want to walk the bus stop was just in front of the house. This area is so well covered by bus & train that a car is not at all necessary. The view from the house was stupendous, a little stream just below the balcony, a meadow in front with EY Church & Staubach Falls as background. It could not get better. The house was comfortable & well equipped. From day one we felt at home. We could have had all our meals at home if we wanted to as the kitchen had many utensils & dishwasher etc. but being too lazy we ended up at Hotel Oberland on most evenings for some unforgettable meals. Hotel Oberland is THE place to go in Lauterbrunnen for a good meal at fair prices. Peter, our host, had thoughtfully prepared a file with a lot of tourist information which we found very useful. Thanks Peter. We would absolutely recommend this holiday rental to anyone & everyone & we ourselves would definitely like to go back one day.
