Caspian Hotel

Very friendly and helpful hosts and an excellent location, with easy access to the Underground, buses and Heathrow. Considering the price, it was very good value. We also appreciated the simple breakfast provided directly in the room – cereals, pastries, milk and water.

The only practical downside was the lack of storage space, as the wardrobe contained a vacuum cleaner and there was very little room left for our things. We were also unlucky with a noisy guest above us, who repeatedly made noise around 2 a.m. This was obviously not the property's fault, but it did affect our sleep, so a room on a higher floor might be a better choice.

Stayed in the Caspian Hotel 3 days/2 nights, Absolutely loved it, very close to tube station and everywhere. Their host was very friendly and give us a lot of information re: places to visit and safety. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are so so comfortable. Definitely will book again.

The only thing was that we got up for breakfast at the nearby café Chantal but it wasn't open.

Location

Good location 10 mins to central London on the Elizabeth line. Beds comfortable although noisy when turning over.

Mouldy shared bathroom that needed scrubbing with bleach (see photo), the owner made a mistake when setting up the room cost and minimum nights on booking.com and then had booking.com email me to say the rate was wrong and they have a minimum 2 night stay (rather than the one night we were able to book) so we would have to pay more money. Felt like the owner was bombarding us with emails about inflexible check in times (must be between 2-8pm but they prefer 2-5pm). However they had a cleaner there on our arrival who could easily have showed us to our room and it felt like she had no ability to do anything as the owner was over bearing. Cleaning lady ended up unlocking the room but we had to wait for the owner to bring us the key. Thankfully he never actually charged us the extra money for the incorrect rate. It's no wonder they've been on Hotel Inspector TWICE (not something to be proud of as it's usually hotels that are failing that go on the show). Sadly I didn't realise they'd been on the show until after our stay or I wouldn't have booked.
