Lovely hotel, great atmosphere, staff and room !

Super nice greenery! Staff was lovely! Pool is very tranquil with a jacuzzi (outdoor temperature). The rooms are spacious and clean. Amazing outdoor bathroom (shower, toilet and sink). Provided with towels and pool towels. Good security (after 9pm you have a specific key which lets you into the hotel, as there is no more staff). Great communication through Booking.com, they will provide you with all the necessary information pre-arrival, during the stay and before checkout. Breakfast buffet was good, a good selection. Hotel has lots of services they provide for a reasonable price: Motorbike/car rental, laundry, restaurant (Breakfast/Lunch), transportation from the hotel (super good prices).

Privacy of our little house

Breakfast low quality. Staff not interested in people, supervisors at front office need some serious training. (Yes ladies, you DO). Very indifferent attitude towards people. Management, training, SOP issue

Staff on reception were very knowledgable and efficient and the included breakfast had something for everyone.

It wasn’t too big and the rooms were spread nicely through the complex.

It was a little noisy as our room was near to the road but you could not see the road.

Had a wonderful stay and experience

Friendly staff , beautiful property, comfy rooms , scooter rental at property, food was good at the restaurant,included breakfast was a bonus , overall a great place to stay 😎🌴

Really nothing to gripe about, maybe some of the electrical sockets could be changed out for new ones , and the door locks are well used but not a deal breaker by no means.

Beautiful place to relax

Very nice and beautiful place. There are many plants and trees, like a botanic garden, which makes very peaceful. The bungalow was of high quality and the private outdoor bathroom perfect. We really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was included and there were many options, however it was hard for me to find something that I really liked. For example, the coffee had a too strong (very strong!!) taste, the pancakes were very sweet and tasted artificial… they also served Thai food, which was good, the European breakfast was way too sweet for me.

Nice but not again

The gardens and all of the common areas are lovely, and all of the staff were polite and friendly. There is good coffee available at the breakfast buffet, which offers the same, but tasty food every morning. There are some good restaurants close by, including some great vegetarian/vegan options. Our room offered lots of storage, such as a wardrobe, drawers and shelves.

We booked a poolside room, which sounds lovely, but not when the pool is dominated by loud children and/or adults, as it was for varying lengths of time every day of our stay. The room itself would have been more comfortable with a chair or two, rather than just the bed to sit on, some more lighting and better window coverings. As well, the wifi in our room in the evenings was insufficient for streaming. The location is also disappointing. It's in the middle of nowhere really - going anywhere other than the pool requires a not so nice walk or a scooter.

I liked that overall it looked stunning.

I didn’t like the location. Being bitten to death. Been all around Thailand and this is the only resort that we had over 30 bites each. That the restaurant closed at 5… so you had to go out for dinner every day as it’s not open. The tv connected to our next door so we could see what they were watching and stopping us from watching ours.

Thank-you for having us we had an amazing time! The rooms were huge, clean and it felt like the prefect way to relax in this beautiful part of the world. Massages were available whenever we wanted. Breakfast was delicious and the team were available to help with anything we needed.

loved the hotel itself….our only problem with the resort was the location and that was only because we didn’t have transport. we really needed to be in easy walking distance of restaurants (hotel dining closes at 6pm). we found a couple of places locally but not enough and still a bit of a dusty walk in the heat.

Great place but…

The accommodations are very nice Swimming pool, gym and breakfast are of good quality The employees are kind and pleasant.

The manager is not sympathetic You will have to pay for litteraly everything extra You don’t feel like a customer (i was asked to make change at 7/11 store in the very morning whereas i had a taxi to catch) And the most important : Impossible to refill the bottle of water which generate unnecessary waste. Please change this policy !

Could find better

The room was generally clean and bed was comfortable. The pool area was nice.

The bath / shower area was awful. Unpainted or tiled cement bath...not inviting also would difficult for some people and children to get in and out off. Twice at breakfast the milk was off and other guests were complaining. Basic choice of food and breakfast area not a nice location with lack of decor, felt very unloved. The recption staff were the worst I have experienced in my many visits to Thailand, when asking any questions or needing help with safe or needing fresh towels they were off and grumpy. Rooms were not made up at all over 5 nights, tea & coffee not replenished. Other guests also commented of lack of friendless and welcome they had experienced. Sadly I would not recommend or stay there again.

Superb

Site is very modern with beautiful plants, you can feel full privacy. In the apartment bed was massive and very comfy. Room was well equipped. Bathroom with open roof gave us an amazing experience, you can only imagine taking shower under the stars with palm trees around. Very recommend it.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. One of the best places we stayed in Thailand. The staff was really friendly and the room was really nice. The outside bathroom in particular! We even got an free upgrade. The pool is stunning as well. There is a bathroom by the pool too, also with beautiful outside washtables. I would suggest renting a scooter from the hotel (same price as other rentals), since there is not really anything in walking distance. The 7-eleven is about a 10 minute walk, but the road there isn’t really safe or well lit. The restaurant from the hotel closes at 6 pm so you can’t go there for dinner, you have to go a bit further. We rented a scooter everyday so we didn’t mind that. Overall a really good choice if your staying in Koh Lanta, definitely recommend!

it’s possible you get company from some lizards in the outside bathroom. But they don’t do anything! :-) a extra normal shower head would be convenient next to the rain shower head. i don’t like to get my hair wet every time so that was a bit difficult. the hotel provided showercaps though!

Relaxing stay in garden

I have visited this place several times and always liked it. Bungalows are surrounded by lush gardens and well maintained. Pool area is nice and atmosphere relaxing.

Location might be a bit tricky if you don't drive motorbike yourself. Nearest beach, bamboo bay, is within walking distance though (just a few hundred meters). Presumably due to pandemic some services were cut down this time. for example housekeeping didn't automatically come every day, but you always got service if you just asked for it. Some breakfast options were also missing but breakfast was still good.

Beautiful garden and pool, spacious rooms, very clean and with all you might need. Nice comfy bed. The open air bathroom was a really special feature. The breakfast was excellent, very fresh! Quiet location. Kind and friendly staff.

Koh lanta is amazing and we had a fantastic two week holiday- there is room for improvement at this resort however.

Nice beaches in walking distance. Lovely greenery and plants throughout the complex. Clean pool and enough space for guests to enjoy it. Great individual terraces and spacious bungalow. We enjoyed evenings outside on our terrace and the plants helped to keep it somewhat private from the neighbours. The fridge in reception with fair priced drinks was a bonus.

The reception and cleaning staff were polite but not very friendly. We found the facilities and tours to be considerably more expensive than elsewhere on the island. The outdoor bathroom was a novelty but in practical terms, the door was super loud and a bit fiddly to operate, and you can hear the neighbours a bit too well. The bungalows were only semi-detached so loud doors had quite an impact. We booked the deluxe bungalow with the idea of having a bath but we couldn’t get the water to run warm enough or fast enough so had to abandon the plan in the end which was a shame. The breakfast buffet was also quite disappointing, we often arrived to find empty coffee pots and or fruit platters, on several occasions had to ask for cutlery as the tables had not been made up, and there was little to no variety - for a two week stay it’s not great.

Most amazing stay in Thailand! Highly reccommend!

It was amazing! Our best stay in Thailand. Beautiful boutique hotel located between Long Beach and Klong Khong, but near the hotel is the most amazing beach in Lanta. Everything was great, from our very clean and tidy bungalow among mango trees and the open air bathroom (awesome even in the rain), to wonderful people. Breakfast was included - rather basic, european style plus every day different thai style dish (eg pasta/rice with veggies). Scooters for rent (with helmet) for 250 thb/day, without the need for any deposit/leaving your passport. Room very big, bed comfortable. Near the hotel (8-10min walk) a 7/11 and a few reaaaally good restaurants - The angels restaurant (try the Khao Soi) and Jimmys chicken (delicious massaman curry for 100thb). We will definitely be back!

Things to improve (but nothing too annoying:)) - We had a problem with our deposit box, it didnt work quite well - we were given a spare key to the deposit box so it was okay. - The wifi in the room wasn’t very good so we were using our own. - Quite a lot of mosquitos in the room, but thats a thing about living in a beautiful garden - we bought a plug in mosquito repellent in 7/11 for 50 thb and it was fine. Plus, we had a friendly little lizard in our room so it was protecting us against the bugs :D

Amazing experience.

The resort is gorgeous and well kept, somewhat like a botanical garden. The interior and the facilities (gym, pool, massage rooms) are all clean and well maintained. The apartments are spacious and the exterior bathrooms are exquisite. The breakfast is simple, but very good. And last, but not least, the staff, especially the receptionist, is someone who makes this resort like a home; with a very friendly approach, warm and caring, she guided us to amazing experiences all over the island and helped us with each of our requests and needs. Highly recommended!

Superb

My stay in Tropicana was pleasant. The facilities are good, it's clean, breakfast has varieties, the staff is welcoming. In general I like open bathroom concept, it's especially nice during the day. However during night you need to count that all type of wildness can enter it and surprise you :D what I would highly suggest to hotel management is to add some net on the top which for example can manually be rolled over open part, for those people who prefer no surprises :) that would make it ideal.
