Albachiara Guest House

Apart from being a little bit expensive (mostly due to current conditions, not really the owners fault) the location is quite charming. It is in a medium age building, with charm. I especially liked the massive drawers as a furniture piece. The TV was small, but if you are visiting Rome this is irrelevant. There is a common kitchen with enough appliances to get you through. The apartment was initially a 4-5 bedroom apartment that now has been split into a common hallway and kitchen and individual rooms (I think all have toilets). Really charming

The pricing is a bit high. I do understand that it's mainly because of the current world situation. I personally didn't enjoy the bed (had some back pains)- but my wife did (she also has back pains, and here had none), meaning that this is a personal issue..

The appartment is located at a very cenvenient site, with easy access to metro and a lot of nice restaurants, coffee shops and bars at a short walking distance. The host is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and offered most basic amenities.

The room was very noisy, given also that these old buildings do not have sound-proofing windows, so some work could have been done towards this direction. Also, the kitchen is common for all rooms and the elevator is very narrow, so if someone has large luggage or carries babies etc., will find it hard to fit in. Finally, it would be best if guidelines for room entry were given in advance of first meeting with the host, so one can enter the room upon arrival without having to wait for the host to come (even though, she arrived within 10 minutes after been notified).

The bed was very comfy and the room matched the images perfectly. We loved how friendly the host was, and she even let us keep the luggage at the location until we departed. Very happy with the overall experience!
