Peaceful Jewel in the Sky

This is a jewel in the Mountains, already look forward to stay there again, beautiful views, great hiking right out of the door step, house has all the comfort and amenities, very thoughtful :) Neighbors were wonderful, handed us the keys and introduced us to the property, great job :)

This is minor but could be helpful to others, there is no parking in front of the cabin rather a small parking lot above the property which holds only a few cars, one weekend evening we arrived and the lot was full because one of the neighbors had a party of some sort :( This only happened once , rest of our stay was fine. Also future visitors should know that it will take at least 10 plus minutes driving up a narrow (paved) Mountain road with oncoming traffic from the main highway from Afritz.

Comfort in the forest

We loved everything here. The romantic forest, the beautiful view, the house is clean, very well equipped and almost new. 🙂 The best place I have ever been in Austria. Thanks

we spent a fantastic 5 days there. The accommodation is better equipped than expected, virtually at home. The environment is fantastic.The relationship worked very well with the owner.I can only recommend it to everyone!

Strongly recomended, perfect place for family or couple of friends

A nice place in the mountains to spend a week with friends or family away from the crowds of people. The haus is very well equiped and offers all you need.

One small thing - please remember that this is a year-round house but still a weekend home. That's why it's a little bit more acoustic than a regular house, which is not important for a family or group of friends.

Schoon en gezellige hut in rustige omgeving maar toch centraal!

Heerlijk rustig in de bergen, geen muggen! In de nacht lekker koel! Grote koelkast met diepvries, genoeg pannen, schalen, borden enz als je zelf kookt, lieve en behulpzame gastvrouw! Fijne grote bbq! Het ligt heel centraal in Karinthie dus je kunt binnen een uur overal wel komen! Faakersee ligt maar op een half uur, het strandbad Dobrollach is een aanrader, gratis entree, mooie glijbaan, super helder water, wel parkeergeld max 10 euro p dag. Als je er heen wil voor 11 uur arriveren ivm parkeren.

Wij waren met vijf, 2 volwassenen, 3 zoons, we vonden het huis geschikt voor 4 personen, omdat de 5e en 6e persoon in de woonkamer moeten slapen en dat is al niet heel ruim. Als je licht slaapt zoals onze zoon dan wordt hij ook iedere keer wakker omdat het aardig kraakt door de houten vloer!

Mooi gelegen en fijn ingericht houten huisje in de bergen

De Verditzhütte is een gezellig en fijn ingericht huis - binnen en buiten van hout, beschut gelegen in de bossen op de berghelling, hoog boven het dal van Afritz. Het is er stil en de lucht is schoon. Wij verbleven er een week, maar het hadden er gemakkelijk twee kunnen zijn.

Er was zeer weinig op het huis aan te merken. Twee kleine tips: we zouden het als theedrinkers fijn vinden als er een waterkoker aanwezig was. Daarnaast vinden we een Nespresso-apparaat een zeer milieuonvriendelijk alternatief voor een koffiezetapparaat.
