It was okay but I wouldn't ever pay that amount to stay there again.

The kids loved the Waterpark. It's location is beautiful and the lodge is nice.

We had no internet reception and had to use our Hotspot to do anything with wifi. The TV channels w were horrible. Hence, Hotspot the whole time. The beds were very old and uncomfortable. The Waterpark hours should have been open earlier and closed later.

It was a new way to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning but won’t do it again.

The front desk staff was very friendly. It was quiet even though we were fairly close to the indoor water park.

Every day confusion about the Continental Breakfast that was included with our room charge. It was never provided even though the staff said that it would be. So we had to drive into town and go to McDonald’s for breakfast.

It was fine, good to price for a quick getaway when you can’t kennel your pup and need a place entertaining enough(pool)

It’s always nice to have indoor swimming activities for the kids and a dog friendly hotel.

It was extremely outdated in the room, very worn and very old. Linen was clean and towels were clean. Lukewarm water the first night, no hot water. Food from previous guests in the refrigerator and freezer section.

Weekend away

Loved that even though the weather was cold, and to see the beautiful snow outside we could be warm and cozy inside. We had a lot of fun activities to keep us busy while outside of our room. Swimming, game room, choice of two large and different areas to enjoy reading or just relaxing. One had a fire place and the other has a tv. Both have a homey, country, and comfortable feel to them. The restaurant was convienent and food was good. There was also a vending machine room for snacks and drinks. Everything was clean and nice.

Couldn't find really anyhing I didn't like. Two guys hanging out together for a couple days away from the prssures of daily life are just thankful for the change of scenery and no pressure.

TV was broken and had very bad reception! The bed was hard and not comfortable! There were a lot of lose hair on the bathroom walls! The breakfast was way overpriced in comparison to other places we could have eaten.

Comfortable, family fun, great hotel

This hotel was cute! Log cabin, up north, home-y, comfortable feel! The water park was SO fun! We have 5 year old twins- they had a blast and never wanted to leave! There is also an arcade which was fun too! Great little town also!

Disappointed

Hiking and swimming.

Unfortunately, our cabin was dirty. The floors were gross and hadn’t been swept or mopped; our socks were filthy from them. Nothing appeared to be wiped down nor dusted. There were multiple cob webs throughout. The lodge’s dining room was horrid. We had to wait a long time to be seated. When we finally got the food, it was okay at best, the portion sizes were small, and the prices were WAY over priced. The food used to be great. I don’t know what happened. We were really looking forward to our little getaway in Brown County, but the cabin suite just didn’t live up to the “suite” expectation and the food was awful. I grew up coming here. I’m just sad.

A lovely room, stay and overall experience at this historic and beautiful Lodge!

The room and restroom were both recently renovated and looked absolutely beautiful.

The bed was very uncomfortable for our preferences. The firmness of the mattress was not at all what we expected, and we had hoped it would have had a softer pillow top mattress instead.

Fantastic getaway to reset your mind and relaxation.

This property is awesome. In the middle of Brown County State Park, an incredibly historic building but still has many of the amenities you expect of a hotel including a lovely aquatic center. The Little Gem restaurant serves reasonably priced, delicious food. Just outside of Nashville, IN where you can find some of the best shopping and local restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries… you name it. Overall a fantastic getaway spot.

Fall break getaway for the family.

The aquatic area thrilled our children. Enjoyed the trails.

The breakfast buffet was over priced. The staff took a while to get our drinks then did not offer coffee refills until I tracked staff down. The buffet was not even. Complete, they were out of potatoes.

Would have liked a fire in fireplace in lobby area. Would have liked free coffee/tea in lobby. Disappointed that restaurant for dinner and breakfast was only buffet. No option to order off a menu. Dinner buffet was disappointing, in past have loved the fried chicken, and dessert choices the dessert was cherry cobbler, no chicken on buffet and cherry cobbler was just ok. Will not be staying at Abe Martin lodge in future due to disappointing quality of food for dinner and breakfast buffet was just average looking. We checked out early and chose to go into town for breakfast. All staff were very friendly.

It was a relaxing mother and daughter girl trip.

I loved the comfort and space in remodeled rooms. The beds were very comfortable. It was also quiet at night even with a full house. Me and my daughter enjoyed adult only hot tub too.

We love Brown County Lodge, but definately the rooms need upgraded.

The location is nice and the park is beautiful. The main lodge is nice and many areas to visit. We have been here many times with and without our families throughout the years.

The rooms need to be updated. Bathroom was a hot mess. Shelf over the sink was tilted so everything fell off. Shower curtain was barely on and toilet was too short with seat very worn.

Great family time in a rustic cabin.

Location was great. Indoor pool was a lot of fun. We hiked and did a hay ride as well. Family cabin had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom plus 2 pull out couches. As long as you’re expecting a rustic/older cabin, you’ll likely have a wonderful stay.

The cabin was fairly clean. Spider webs in some areas of the bathroom. Small amount of trash in one pull out couch. Pull out couches are best suited for children. Very creaky floors, so hard not to wake up those sleeping downstairs (if the bathroom is needed). Not well stocked, so it would be good to bring paper towels, toilet paper, salt/pepper and some other basics.

Staff were nice and helpful but the room was very outdated , bed was hard as rock and the A/C was broken. Temp was 76 in the room when we arrived. Luckily it was cool at night and the windows worked. Was not a good value for the money with so many other options in the area.

After five room changes not one of them the air conditioner worked. Last room bed in 101 was filthy and had bugs. Large pee stain and pee smell on sheets. A lot more wrong than good. Did not, could not stay. Bike trip weekend ruined.

The breakfast bar was mediocre and priced too high. No option to buy a small meal for myself or my child. Very disappointing. The rooms are dated and need to be deep cleaned. The water park is nice and great for families. The staff was mostly friendly, but typically understaffed, especially Saturday night, leaving a nice young guy (who appeared to perhaps be autistic or have other challenges), struggling alone. Beautiful little courtyard and gardens. Could use some benches out there.
