Honua Kai - Konea 738

Loved our view every morning and the resort amenities.

We arrived at the resort 30-45 minutes before the 4pm check-in, and we weren't allowed to get into the room despite the room being ready. Trying to speak to anyone via the Vacasa booking was painstakingly difficult. When we finally checked in and got to our room, our AC didn't work, and the room was filled with tiny flies. We were able to resolve both, but it was a little stressful at first. Overall, the stay was exemptional, and the good far outweighed the bad.

the view, cleanliness.

the towel service didn’t work for the entire stay

The property is beautiful. Honua Kai presents itself well. This unit needs a host = a better host.

Our unit - 1 bedroom. 2 guests, but would easily accommodate 4. No welcome note, No instructions on how to easily work appliances, washing machine, dishwasher, fans etc. No salt and pepper. Coffee for two 6 cup pots. Beach towels were frayed, bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion) - bargain quality at best and probably 2 oz tubes for 5 nights. I called about help with the laundry - never received a response. Those fun toys - none. One beach chair and if you've ever stayed at Honua Kai you would know this is not the standard. Pool side seating is first come first serve by 7:30 am - so at LEAST two beach chairs would be appreciated.
