Wakeboard- lake sup, kajak,yoga and restaurant MOMI, public boat service for sightseeing but BLEVIO is not only water and swimming but also monte, hiking, so if you wish, bring a pair boots.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lina’s apartment. She is such a kind and generous host and went out of her way to make our stay so lovely. The apartment is spacious, clean, well equipped, and has stunning views of Lake Como. Lina spent lots of time providing suggestions of things to do and how to get there. She printed off bus schedules for us and has a great information book that has ideas for places to visit and the ferry schedule. As Canadians, even though our Italian is not very good and her English is limited, we communicated easily and we had lots of laughs talking through her translation app. Lina also booked us a reservation at Momi, which we highly recommend as the restaurant is right on the lake and the views are spectacular and the food was amazing!
We chose to use transit to get around, but if you hire a car, she has a garage right next to the property where you can park. You can tell that Lina is very passionate about Lake Como and this shows in how she treats her guests. The only thing I would suggest is to bring ear plugs, as the road below her can get a bit noisy in the early morning. Luckily we always travel with them, so we were able to have quiet sleeps.
The apartment is close to the bus stop, and the Blevio pier, but this is a smaller pier and isn’t visited as often as the other larger towns. On the plus side it’s also much less busy. There is a garage with room for a small car (which we would recommend for the narrow roads around Como) or a scooter.

There was a wonderful view from the villa and the beautiful garden over the lake. The apartment was very spacy and cosy. It was well equipped with everything we needed, except that one of the ovens did not work. The hostess, Lina, was very friendly and provided a lot of useful information about the area and activities. The only reason why we only give the apartment 4 stars and not 5 is the noisy road, which is located next to the villa. It is most noisy during the daytime. There was a garage, which we could use for our car and bikes. It is, however, quite difficult to get the car in and out of the garage due to the busy road, so we ended up almost not using our car. However, it is easy to get around on bike or by bus. It is also possible to take the ferry from Blevio (not many departures) and Como.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Hortensia. The view is breathtaking and the service excellent: Mrs. Lina even baked a cake for my wife when she heard it was her birthday! Highly recommended.
