The Whale -Upper

Beautiful ocean view! Lots of rooms with big beds. Very comfortable.

The pots and pans & skillets were old and rusty. All of them were scratched and were peeled off on the bottom. Not safe or healthy to cook with. No can opener, no whisk, very few silverware. We had to bring our own cookware.

The view was awesome. We loved sitting at the picnic table right outside the sliding door and watching the ocean.

Not the Hilton, that's for sure. But it was affordable and fit our large group well.

The views were great and location was desirable. If you have a lot of people with you and need a cheap place, this might be it.

The pictures included in the listing have a nice sofa set, unfortunately what was actually there was an interesting mix of goodwill furniture. There were 3 random chairs (not comfortable at all) and a tiny couch that looked like it was meant for a dollhouse. I got there before my husband and sent him the picture of it, he thought I was joking. There was one comfy chair that looked like it was the end of a sectional that we all would fight over. For having 8 people staying there, there was not nearly enough room to sit and be comfortable. Also, the deck had one flimsy plastic chair. One. Not enough for us to sit outside and enjoy the views. For the bedrooms, there were only 2 that actually had windows that opened..since this unit is the upper level, it got stuffy fast. The other rooms got uncomfortable at times, even though it was only about 65 at the coast. The one super large room had blinds but they don't go down. We ended up having to hang sheets up. Most rooms had no blinds, so it was pretty bright most of the time. Most of the beds were okay as far as comfort. Although we did find some hairs in our bed. Our 10 year old said the bunk bed was like sleeping on cardboard. So, take that as you will.
