I left the Silk Pincushion knowing I had just had a wonderful and unique B and B experience.

The breakfast was truly delicious: eggs, sausage, fresh baked scones and muffins, plenty of fresh fruit, and, of course, good coffee. The hosts, Judy and Dennis, offered a perfect balance by providing peaceful privacy up in the room and warm hospitality around the breakfast table.

The bathroom was kind of small, but manageable.

A charming historic home with warm hosts, great breakfasts, and an easy walk to Golden’s Main Street.

I enjoyed my stay very much in this beautiful historic house in Golden. The owners were very friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth, and it’s clear they take great pride in keeping both the house and the grounds in excellent condition. The highlights for me were the opportunity to talk about the property and history of Golden with the owners and others staying and the home-cooked breakfast and the baked treats — the muffin I had one morning was amazing. Access was easy, and the property is just a short walk to Golden’s Main Street. The town itself is small, clean, safe, and very pleasant to explore.

Perfection!

What an absolutely wonderful addition to my "1000 mile trip around Colorado!!" Judy and Dennis are just the most adorable couple and absolutely wonderful hosts! From the moment I arrived on the porch, a bit delirious from driving through the mountains for 6+ hours (plus a 2 hour delay as the Million Dollar Hwy shut down for powerline repairs that were being done by helicopter next to the road), they were as welcoming as if we were close family members. Breakfast in the morning was not only scrumptious (and SO many options!), but they sat down with us to eat and 2 other couples and myself traded stories with them for an hour. It was such an enjoyable time! Their home is an easy walk to picturesque downtown Golden (and Coors), and when I arrived back to grab my car to continue my journey, they were sitting on the porch enjoying their coffee and we chatted for another good while. Make sure to take a peek in the little garage and ask Dennis about what you see inside!! I am so glad I stayed at the Silk Pincushion, and without a doubt would stay with them again if I had the chance. The house is adorable, the rooms are clean and welcoming, the bed is comfy, and the hosts...well...I wanted to just adopt them into my family so we would have reason to hang out more in the future!

The breakfast and coffee were amazing both mornings. It was so nice to talk to people from all over the world over a delicious breakfast each morning. The location was perfect for our trip to Red Rocks for a concert as well as to the Rocky Mountain National Park. The owners were kind enough to allow us in a little early when we arrived earlier than planned. Easy parking.

A friendly and welcoming B&B within walking distance of Golden's shops, restaurants and attractions. Our room was comfortable and had all we needed. The high spot of our stay was the breakfast, shared with other guests. The food was excellent, original, and beautifully presented. It was great to share this meal with the other guests and we all enjoyed getting to know each other.

We had to pay a little extra for the suite as this was the only room left when we booked. The suite was self-contained and separate from the house, with a microwave and a sink and fridge (none of which we actually needed) but the sleeping area was probably no bigger than a normal room.

It’s a real bed and breakfast and the breakfast was outstanding- bed pudding French toast with apples inside,fresh fruit and ham. It was fun visiting with the other guest as well as Dennis and Judy, the host.
