The stewards of Shaw House Shannon and Richard were so gracious and combined with the historical property and a delicious breakfast, our stay was wonderful!
The property is over 120 years old and some areas need a bit of TLC but the owners have only been stewards for a few months and I’m sure all will be taken care of within a short time. I would love to see the gardens when they’re finished!

New owner nice home the grounds good use landscaping help but the back deck off our room was nice.
They advertised afternoon tea and wine after 3 but I did not see it. You can buy a bottle of wine. We brought our own They could use more wine glasses. Room is nice. Pet friendly although the house is not.

Shaw House was very close, actually adjacent to the little downtown. It was nice to have people to interact with like the owners and the breakfast chef. And the breakfast… What’s not too like about blueberry bread, pudding made with homemade croissants!

Location was good.
It was disappointing. Rather than finding a charming old home turned into a B&B, we found an old run-down building in need of repair and refurbishing. In addition, we were early for breakfast, and even though it was ready, and the cook did not appear to be overly busy, she could not accommodate us by providing us with a plate of food that was, according to her, ready to be served. We just left.
