This historic Victorian was lovely as well as the charming town of Ferndale. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to Eureka.

the bed was wonderful and very comfortable--other guests in our group made the same comment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy.
the bathroom/W/C was tiny and our room had a bath for bathing--not a shower. The garden and exterior are supposed to be getting an upgrade soon. Upstairs rooms are accessible by steep, narrow stairs

Location was good.
It was disappointing. Rather than finding a charming old home turned into a B&B, we found an old run-down building in need of repair and refurbishing. In addition, we were early for breakfast, and even though it was ready, and the cook did not appear to be overly busy, she could not accommodate us by providing us with a plate of food that was, according to her, ready to be served. We just left.
