There was construction happening in the unit that disrupted our stay a bit while workers needed to enter, and also the unit looked unfinished as the borders of the windows were torn up/in the middle of being redone

Great location and host is very friendly! The apartment isn't luxurious but it's fair, everything in place. Beach towels and sun shade provided, which was great. Overall a good stay, good value for the price and the location, since you're at the heart of south beach.

The kitchen was lacking a bit: Microwave wasn't working and there was no dish soap. The apartment building was under construction so there was some noise.

I liked the location, but it was not as quiet as I was expecting. Heavy construction equipment started to work at 6am on some weekdays. Neighbors from upstairs were very loud at 2:15am one night and they woke me up.

Cleanliness was questionable. I found cob webs, dirty plastic outlets covers, dead cockroach, water not draining from the sink, dirty floor. My light pink color flipflops after a whole week walking in them only in the apartment the bottoms changed color from pink to black. Electrical outlets have broken covers, and some of the outlets didn't work, its a fire hazard and exposure to possible electricution. The bed was a cheep foam mattress from IKEA which had a dent in the middle, and didn't provide adequate ventilation while sleeping and I was sweating.
