Goldsmith's Riverfront Inn

Wonderful accommodation on the river. Beautiful old house with thoughtful renovation. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. This felt like a more unique local experience, rather than booking a hotel. We loved sitting on the porch chairs watching the river. Perfect for a couple. Loved our stay.

Set in a fabulous location overlooking the river, Goldsmith's is a great spot. Our room was a suite in this converted house, and while quirky, it exceeded our expectations. With a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, a large bathroom, a generous sitting room and a separate bedroom with a comfy bed and decent pillows. After settling in, we sat on the porch with a glass of wine, watching people of all ages float down the river on rubber rings, airbeds, and canoes, which was just lovely. We wished we could have stayed longer!

It was beautifully located near the river path, downtown, and the university. We lived the bike shop next door, too.

We had very hot weather so the air conditioning was running all night, which caused fitful sleep for me, the person who was right next to it. The windows didn’t open so the wonderful night air could not cool off the third floor. Bet this heat is a rare occurrence, though.

The location was great. Loved the river, but wish there was access at the property. The rooms were great! Well stocked kitchen.
