The Stepping Stone Inn was wonderful! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. He made excellent coffee every morning and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to see around Salem. One thing we really appreciated was that they let us leave our luggage at the inn after we checked out since our flight wasn’t until later that day. That made our last day so much easier. The location was also perfect for exploring Salem on foot.
Honestly, there wasn’t anything we disliked. We had a great stay.

The staff was very friendly and was very informative! They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay! The location was walking distance from everything!

Historic. Owners are extremely kind, helpful, knowledgeable and accessible and provide clear and detailed instructions for your stay. Charming, very clean rooms with private bathrooms and large common areas for relaxing and eating. Perfect location if you’re in Salem for the night.
Parking anywhere in Salem can be a challenge, especially if you are traveling in a truck or SUV. The inn owner was extremely helpful upon our arrival while we unloaded. He helped us park free of charge in a garage within steps of the inn.
