History and style.

Beautiful Victorian home filled with antiques. We had a room with an attached separate sitting area as well as a jetted tub separate from the bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of 4 different options. There is also a lovely garden with a fountain where we took our morning coffee. Our hosts were very gracious.
Room was on the smaller side. Not a really problem in itself. However, it was very dark as it does not get a lot of natural sunlight and was decorated exclusively in dark colors, including the ceiling. Had to have lamps on at all times. Decorating includes a lot of bric a brac as well as a lot of furniture squeezed into a relatively tight space. Although very charming, the sheer quantity of things combined with the overall lack of natural light made things a little claustrophobic. Room was very nice. We just had a little "sensory overload".

I liked the Jaccuzi tub a lot. I really liked how all the things were arranged in the mansion. It was very pretty. The hosts were cool too.

Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Parking was convenient.
Host was a little odd. Wanted me to call her my first night, which I completely forgot about. Then told me she waited up until midnight for me to call her. She said it was to check me in, but it was really to find out what I wanted for breakfast. Weird. Linens need a refresh, but i understand why owner may not want to purchase new linens when they’re about to sell. Coffee was like dishwater.
