La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham-Albany GA

I encountered La Quinta hotels on a long roadtrip from GA to AZ and I was impressed! I had heard of the hotel but I didn't know how it was pronounced. It was the friendly staff at the front desk who casually pronounced the hotel when he said Welcome to La Keenta! I was saying La Kwinta... Anywho, since that first stay back in 2022, I've been hooked on La Keenta! I love breakfast options- for myself because I'm an early riser, but especially when I'm traveling with my kids. They are bound to find something they like. And it helps us get our day started WITHOUT the "Mom, what's for breakfast ???" My youngest son loves that he can make his own waffles and my oldest enjoys the cheese egg omelettes. Since 2022, I've stayed in different La Quintas and the experience of cleanliness, breakfast, comfortable beds, clean towels, clear pools were fantastic across the board. So I'm comfortable choosing this hotel when available. Oh and the PRICE!! Seems reasonable to me for all the amenities and cleanliness. When traveling you are the first hotel I look up because I trust that it's going to be a great stay for my children and me. One time we weren't able to stay in the area of a La Quinta because there was a charity run going on in TN and all rooms were booked. I almost cried... And I might have but my kids were in the car so I had to stay strong! 🤭 I absolutely had no clue where to stay (although there were other hotel options).... But LA QUINTA! I have a top 5 list of go-to hotels and La Quinta is definitely in the top 3!!!! Keep being great! Keep doing what you do! And keep sending your employees to La Quinta University so you all can maintain this fabulous experience for your guests. Thanks for all you do! Sincerely, A La Keenta Lover ❤️

Well in this particular hotel, I didn't like that the mural on the back wall behind the check in desk WAS NOT of the city we were actually in although it had the city name plastered big and bold. It felt misleading. I even asked where the waterfront that the picture displayed was because I knew it wasn't Albany! To find out it was Columbus was disheartening. Advertise the current city to give visitors an idea of places to go and views to see. #2: the building had a leak on the first floor in which buckets had to be used to catch the water. Not sure how long it was going on before we got there, but from Sun-Wed it hadn't been fixed. Just an eye sore. And although the those little yellow caution signs were out, splashes/drops of water were still on the floor which could present a slipping hazard to the unsuspecting guest.

Location.

Breakfast (the trash can is not cleaned properly for a food venue), and the room is not maintained. Noisy. Moldy aroma in hallways.
