Nice downtown hotel in Albany, 4 blocks from the state capitol and museums (it's a steep uphill walk...the capitol is on a hill). Room was large with nice desk, lots of plugs, microwave/fridge/coffee maker, and a firm bed. The bathroom was huge and shower worked well. The staff was friendly and helpful, including saving my food when I forgot to empty the fridge. Closest parking is 2 blocks away for about $30 per day -- the walk to/from the garage can be a bit creepy at night. There is street parking if you want to deal with the meters. Lots of eateries and some shopping in the neighborhood.

Professional , helpful staff; spacious room.
Limited parking. Just two spaces available in front of hotel on Main Street for temporary loading/unloading—but dangerous to back out of spaces onto Main Street. Free on-street parking on weekends, but hard to know how secure your car is for parking overnight.
