Close to Holiday Valley

Location, only a mile from Holiday Valley as we went to ski. Room was a good size and added to the comfort though we didn't spend much time in it.

My wife opened the fridge out of curiosity. We both wished she hadn't as there was spoiled food in it that stunk!

Owners/staff were very nice. Price was affordable. Location was in walking distance of downtown.

Staff was kind and accomodating.

Room was outdated, had a rusty towel bowl cleaner in bathroom, and had no microwave. The parking lot was all icy.

Fair place to stay if skiing

Cheap stay for a ski overnight trip when you’re not planning to be in the room other than to sleep.

Although we were in a nonsmoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke woke me up several times throughout the night.

Beautiful views, but not without issues

The location was gorgeous as was the scenery, the Jacuzzi was nice and the little porch was good for sitting on at the end of the night. Ellicottville was beautiful, we visited a lot of the local stores, the restaurants had great food and there was plenty to do in the area Overall the scenery is beautiful and worth a stay.

So, the bathroom contains the refrigerator and coffee maker when there are other places it could go. The outlet the fridge was plugged in to kept shutting off so we could not store food safely. There was black mold inside of the refrigerator from moisture build up and lack of power. My wife and I only noticed these things after storing food in it, so that needed tossed. Not to mention the bathroom entry is a doorway with no partition, and I get it's a couples get away suite but a curtain would be nice. Lack of microwave though I should have checked the amenities. Interior of the main building is fine I will say that my wife and I had a good time while here despite the issues I've listed, I just wouldn't personally recommend this particular room.

Disappointing

Beds were comfortable. Room was spacious. Cute town walkable distance.

When we found the hotel on line, we booked it because it offered a "buffet breakfast ". When the 4 of us went down, there were 2 bagels, a loaf of bread, old hard peanut butter, butter, cream cheese, cold cereal, milk in a fridge that was not on or cold, coffee, hot water. We went out for breakfast. Upon arrival, the room was as cold as the outside. It took a long while for the room to get warm. We had a reservation, the heat should have been on low at least. Toilet seat had a large worn mark on it. Made it look dirty. The boards on the ramp and one set of steps were uneven and very worn.

The manager wasn't nice nor helpful and didn't speak english well enough to help fix the problem that I had no idea was a problem. The place to check-in was impossible to find.

Walking distance to downtown, fairly quiet.

Needs some renovations. A little run down. Coffee pot did not work in the room. Bath tub nozzle was out of the wall. Minimal usb outlets. Glad it’s off season, I would never pay the high prices to stay here to go skiing.

Location is perfect. And rooms were quiet

Front office was closed and couldn't get any ice. Also would have very much appreciated a couple complimentary bottles of drinking water. Rooms also did not have any microwaves - I thought I had read that in the accommodations listed but there were none.

Decent value, just don't expect too much.

It's a decent value for the price. It's not luxury accommodations. We did not eat breakfast on this trip but we have in the past and it was OK, nothing special. The main attraction for us is the location, walking distance to downtown.

The room needs updating, especially the shower. The shower head wouldn't fully come on. I was disappointed they took the fire pit away. I really enjoyed that.

Comfortable stay for a short visit.

The location is perfect for enjoying the restaurants and shops in Ellicotville. The staff were friendly. The lodge is dated. It needs to be refreshed. Normally it is a value, but not last weekend. Perhaps due to St. Bonaventure graduation.

I’m not complaining because our room was Sooooo cute! But their was hair on the sink and shower from previous people who stayed. There were a few cobwebs in our room. And the coffee pot in our room was not cleaned out.

Conveniently located, but needs an update.

Hotel centrally located, short walk to everything. Fire pit and pool were nice touches. The lady at the front desk was sweet and helpful.

Property needs updating. Beds were uncomfortable. Headboards were attached to the wall using a small ledge, no screws. There was no towels I. Our room when we arrived (3 1/2 hrs after check in time)

1. Ice machine broken. 2 We arrived entered the room it smelled musty and moldy. Room could have been a little cleaner. The ceiling over the shower had mold. I took photos . I think they could have afforded a new toliet bowl brush it was rusted and dirty. This could have been a beautiful setting it just needs updated one room at a time. The grounds were beautiful. We stayed in room 405.

it was within walking distance to the village and the fire pit was a nice touch.

there were way too many updates needed too many repairs needed to even count. There were so many cobwebs. It is severely outdated, and could use some love and attention to say the least. All of the bad options were insanely uncomfortable.

Solid stay and a good value for a quick weekend trip with friends!

Lodge is within walking distance to the Main Street. Close to some decent food spots and bars.

Night stand lamp was broken when we arrived. Looked like the cleaners just propped it up against the wall to hide it.
