Many years ago we stayed here several times. Under new ownership now. Loved the updated bar with a very knowledgeable bar tender, Will. We also had dinner. The brick oven pizza was delicious. Service was great. Our room was small but we love the history with the original timbers from 1822. Love the location which is out of the way but still close to town. It even snowed on queue. Great memories new and old.
We would have liked soap for the shower. The tiny soap left was not sufficient for 2 people.

Interesting building. Very attractive. Our room and the bathroom was quite large. Immaculately clean. Nice that they leave coffee in the main building for early morning risers.
Sound travels between the rooms very clearly. Limited nearby food options once the country store closes.

Loved the charm of the main house and nearby country store. Also loved Ransom Tavern.
Did not like that we stayed in back lodge. Thought we were staying in historic inn would not have booked if I knew we were in the back lodge. Also did not like that rooms did not have coffee maker
And you had to walk to get coffee in the cold. And if you are a little late you had to go pay 3 $ for black coffee. Did not like that the fireplaces did not work. Why have them ? Big disappointment.
