We stayed in Room 302 at Sunrise Resort for a week-long vacation in July and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home—and honestly, we only want to stay in this unit for any future visits!
Location: The resort is in an ideal spot—just a 5-minute walk to the beach, across Gulf Boulevard and through the TradeWinds parking lot. It’s also within easy reach of several top-rated, authentic restaurants, which made dining out a breeze.
Resort Amenities: The property is well-maintained and thoughtfully laid out. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and relaxing, and we especially enjoyed the gazebo and grill area, which we used twice for lunch. It’s a great setup for families or groups who enjoy cooking outdoors.
Room 302: This unit is exceptionally well-equipped. It has everything you’d want for a beach vacation—foldable chairs, umbrellas, plastic bins, shovels for the kids, and even a fishing rod, which came in handy at the beautiful little bay and fishing pier just behind the building.
Kitchen & Comfort: The kitchen is stocked with everything—plenty of cookware, utensils, spices, coffee filters—you name it. You don’t need to run out to buy basics; it’s all there. The mattresses are firm and comfortable, and there are plenty of towels, both for the bathroom and the beach. The interior has a cozy and inviting vibe, and the balcony view is simply magnificent.
Service & Parking: Communication with the staff was fast, clear, and courteous via email. Parking was never an issue—plenty of available spots, even during what seemed to be peak season.
Overall, Room 302 exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s the kind of place that truly makes you feel at home, and we’re already looking forward to coming back—only to this unit!

The location was great.
Master bedroom needs room, darkening curtains bad. Inless you like getting up at 4:30 in the morning when the sun is rising and coming through blinds. The ceiling fans need new blades and are coming unscrewed from the motor and are very dirty. You can smell sewer gas coming from the front toilet. In desperate need of new pillows.

The instructions for how to enter the lobby were wrong. We arrived on a Sunday, and the lobby was locked. Absolutely no where in the instructions provided were we given a code to the door. We spent an hour with our two small children trying to get in, finally someone staying at the hotel let us in. We finally got someone on the phone who gave us the code. We were extremely disappointed in the check in process.
