The hotel is located in a very lively area, close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. Metro access is very easy, and it's about 10-15 minutes from Broadway and Times Square. It's also just a 5-minute walk to the Hudson Yards sculpture (The Vessel). Walking from the train station to the hotel is convenient, and overall access to the metro station is excellent. The room is comfortable, with an adequate bathroom, kitchen, and refrigerator. Breakfast is actually pretty good. There's a 7-Eleven on the corner with 8th Avenue, but on the corner with 9th Avenue there's a small market with much better variety and prices: Gourmet Deli

The neighborhood has some drug users on the street, though they don't cause any disturbance. There are also some homeless people in the area, which seems to be fairly common throughout New York City based on what we observed. Housekeeping only comes every 48 hours (every other day), not daily. The biggest issue is seating space, the hotel has more guests than the small breakfast area can accommodate, so it's always crowded.

The rooms were comfortable and clean

We had to wait for more than ah hour after were told our second room will be ready in 45min after check in as we had requested for rooms on the same floor and still ended up in getting rooms in different floors. We had to keep following up with the staff. They were never proactive. Even getting hooked on to the Wi-Fi was a task.

Excellent location. Near sights, shops and metro station. Free hot chokolate in the lobby. Good size room with sofa and kitchen.

Low water pressure in the shower. There was dishwasher, but no dishwasher detergent. Breakfast very crowdy and noisy, but we always found a table eventually.
