The dining room was unexpectedly closed for dinner.

Breakfast in the morning was outstanding, as was the box lunch we got for our day trip to Cumberland Island. The room was beautifully appointed. The two reading chairs were comfortable. The mattress was very comfortable, although perhaps a tad too soft and cushy and too high. We needed a stool to get up into it. The bathroom was roomy and also well appointed. Free parking in front of the inn was wonderful. And Lisa and Alex were both outstanding hosts who helped make our stay memorable.
The claw foot tub was very challenging to get in and out of and if we stay here again, we will request a room with a walk-in shower.

Quaint and antiquey
No hot water in the evening or in the morning and the smoke detector was right over the bed and flashing all night (impossible to sleep).
