The yooper sauna at Cedar Motor Inn is a genuine pleasure and a genuine rarity at this price point. Given the quality of the facilities, I think I got my room for the cheapest it possibly could have possibly gone for. It is unlikely that a tolerable option -- let alone good -- will emerge at this price point, either in Marquette or elsewhere.
One minor annoyance is structural to the building. Because of the design of the rooms, which are organized along a lengthy interior corridor, the window must be kept blinded at all times if you want any privacy, which I don't like, since its no fun waking up in the dark, and no fun having strangers watch you sleep.

The room was clean and comfortable but the decor is dated. The facility overall is showing its age. That said, we enjoyed our brief stay and will come back to the Cedar Motor Inn the next time we stay in Marquette.
Breakfast was limited. Good coffee though!
