Staff was great. Breakfast was ok, could be a little better. Noise wasn't bad, fairly quiet for us. Location was good. We were on first floor. Heat and air was good. Ref and microwave was good.

Carpet needs to be replaced, it made things look dirty. No in room coffee.And you have to ask for hairdryer. Fireplace wasn't on. No pool, excercise room, outdoor firepits or outdoor activities 😢. Made staying at the hotel to relax boring. Shower pressure was awful. And sadly for ♿️ they only have stairs for upstairs rooms 😕. Can't enjoy a room with a view. And handicapped parking was in the dark, bad lighting😕. And we were here for 3 days, 2 nights.

no coffee in room the office called a day before and asked us to switch rooms after we had requested the same but were turned down, and we graciously switched. when my husband was going to bed, he noticed that it sounded like the window was open. did not sleep well at all. the desk gave him a metal pc with a screw to lock the window. the noise was the problem

food was all frozen . free breakfast, yes but crappy

Updated furniture but still motel vibes. Not quiet enough for dogs.

The location was next to a McDonald’s and shopping center, also a grocery store. So for quick food conveniences it was sufficient. It was pleasant to be on the road and driving into downtown Truckee within 5-minutes. We traveled with a dog and there was a nice walking / biking trail right across from the hotel and that really helped us out.

The website stated a renovation. The price point of the hotel did not translate. It seemed more like an upgrade of furniture in the hotel room, yet the carpet was old and stained in multiple places, the walls needed paint, the toilet paper dispenser was held together with glue that was peeling off the wall, and the sounds of neighbors closing and opening hotel doors really echoed. It kept waking our dog that eventually we packed up and checked out right @ 7 AM when the front desk opened. We could not comfortably stay in the room longer.

Clean Little Motel

Nice little motel, not fancy and dated but it does the job. Ice machine, snack and drink vending machines in a little room plus coffee machine in breakfast nook. Limited breakfast in am, all bagged/heat items, cereal, juice, yogurt, hard egg, and coffee machine. I felt safe but I travel with a dog. Clean room with fridge and micro which is nice. Close to many amenities and I-80. The prices are high on certain weekends so watch that.

Outside property line needs some cleaning up, make the rest of the place look bad.

A place to stay!

The staff was exceptional in accommodating our needs (bottom floor, close to entrance/exit door). The room was clean & comfortable. The free breakfast helped us get a good start to our day! We always stay here when we come visit family. Quiet. Recommend!

A great night sleep

I got in at 9:45 and the desk clerk was very friendly and expecting me. I locked myself out of my room just before she was leaving and we both laughed about it. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I actually slept without waking up half way like at home. I woke without any pain so that means the bed is a very good one. Breakfast was complimentary and offered enough options. I would absolutely stay here again.

I was already awake but just catching up on social media and the housecleaning personnel were already cleaning the room across from me. It would have woken me up if I wasn’t at 6:45. That was just too early for that kind of noise. But, like I said, I was already awake.

Review of The Inn at Truckee

A cute little laid-back place in a great location. Within walking distance was a shopping area featuring CVS, grocery stores, restaurants, Starbucks, ski and bike shops. They have a complimentary breakfast from 6:30 am,no kitchen but a selection of microwavable breakfast sandwiches, pastries, coffee, juice, yogurt.

Most places allow you to check in at 3:00 p.m., hear the check-in is 4:00 p.m. earliest, but it's a small place and they probably need that extra time to get the rooms ready.

Floor in my room had damp carpet - it was gross. I didn't say anything because I didn't realize until bed time when I was barefoot :-( I was busy and didn't have time to move rooms, It was upstairs and I asked for downstairs - no elevator and it was hard on my back, not impossible, but not great and there was no hairdryer I didn't know that until I had washed my hair and stepped out of the shower, had to get somewhere and when I finally reached someone at the desk find out I get to come downstairs to get one No time so attended my appointment with wet hair.

Third-floor room with no elevator - had to lug ski stuff up two flights of stairs. Also, thermostat on through-the-wall HVAC unit in the room didn’t do anything to regulate heat and the room ended up getting unbearably hot no matter how low I turned the heat, short of it switching into a/c mode. So I turned it off at night and hoped I wouldn’t get too cold.

Ski fun value!

Great location parallel to Truckee’s main road, Donner Pass Rd Great staff, little lobby with awesome Nescafé machine. We enjoyed eating our take-out dinner in front of the roaring gas fireplace after a day of skiing.

Too bad sauna and spa aren’t in service anymore.

The room had two doubles and the size was as small as I’ve ever seen a room for two people. No closet, tiny bathroom, no place to put suitcases and not bump into them during the night.
