This hotel brought me back in time... Not in the most favorable way!

I enjoyed traveling to California and I was there for a conference. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was taken back in thinking that such a wealthy area would not keep a modern, up-to-date hotel. On a positive, staff was friendly and the pool was open late.

The hotel is old and is due for renovations. I was not a fan of feeling like I went back in time, but I could easily see that at some point in time the hotel was new and nice. No free breakfast for the price you may - disappointed.

it was clean and room air conditioning was awesome, was quite relaxing nice bar area it had three pool loved that and small frig in room …they didn’t rush us out that was super nice

the parking was ridiculous!!! We had to pay to park at the hotel $40 each night for self parking separately. it was expensive i expected to be so much nicer for the price i paid ….there was no wet bar with sink ok small frig , i paid for a larger room with balcony wasn’t that cold and bathroom didn’t really have any thing to hang ur towels or clothes..hotel way to far from the down town strip took twenty minutes then it was even harder to get parking out there we drove around for hours to get a parking…it seemed like and expensive motel 6 or but the hotel i was trying to stay at the balboa inn was still not as nice so i was happier to have stay there at at the Hyatt regency…dispite the set backs

Great familu trip to relax and unwind.

It was quaint and cozy. Not very luxurious but enough to feel you are at a decent place. Oasis pool was great for kids. Service came Quickly via texts. Not a huge ding but wish a bathroom was available at the pool. Otherwise have to walk quite a bit into the lobby to access restrooms all wet.

The layout of all the facilities take time to get used to but second day started to gel. Bathroom at the pool will be nice. More ev chargers than two Will be great.

Disappointing

The hotel boasts a great location and the restaurant staff are friendly.

The overall experience was disappointing. The interiors are outdated, the room had a musty odour, and cleanliness was severely lacking. Dusty carpets, unclean sheets, and a neglected bathroom made the stay uncomfortable. The shower was clogged, and despite bringing it to the reception's attention, we had to resolve it ourselves. The hotel feels cheap, which is inconsistent with the high price and this discrepancy between cost and quality was super disappointing.

The resort had an Independence Day bbq on the highest hill of its golf course which then overlooked the harbor for the fireworks. Together with the music it was an awesome experience and very well done!

Great property wish our room was deep cleaned better prior to arrival

We loved the 3 different pools, fire pits, and fitness center! It was a beautiful property to walk around and very relaxing vibes!

Our room wasn’t the cleanest despite having the house keeping come in. They did a great job with making the bed and changing the sheets and taking out the trash. Our room to begin with was not very clean there was splatters on the walls in multiple areas and our ice bucket tongs had sticky brown stuff all over them like they weren’t cleaned before we got there.

I enjoyed my stay, the staff was superb, I wish the activities were more accessible

The property and grounds weee beautiful, staff was excellent. The room was fine, but nothing special. I wish there were more walking paths to explore the property - I walked the main paths saw part of the golf course and the tennis courts via parking lot. There was not an obvious way to see and explore. Foot path is limited. For the price, expected more from the room.

The pool is nice and family friendly. Rooms around the pool, be prepared to hear pool activity (parties and movies) until the pool closes; windows and walls are not exactly sound proof.

I thought “oh crap, I have a room near a delivery alley” when I heard periodic rumblings all night. But no, it was the crappy AC unit making awful starting and stopping sounds so loud it sounded like a semi truck. Worst night sleep I’ve had in a long time and I have 3 kids… Restaurant was really understaffed. Our server did his best, but clearly didn’t have enough help. Took forever just to order and the hostesses had to print the kids menus (they finally brought them after we already ordered). Food wasn’t exactly hot when it arrived. $6 for a coffee that was never refilled.
