I REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars, the scenery was amazing, the staff were very nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere. HOWEVER! It was the 4th weekend and they were understaffed. There really only is one kitchen and my food came late and cold EVERY SINGLE MEAL. Now, normally I don't harp on these things but I am diabetic and they didn't give me a complimentary snack or anything. Even the people around me were getting concerned. If it wasn't for the bartender myles who repeatedly went into the lions den (the kitchen) to give them heck I probably would've passed out. The other major issue was housekeeping...they were very nice but it was like pulling teeth to get them to give us new glasses in the room, fresh towels, to make the bed...you know stuff that should be done anyways? I think my last straw was that there was no one to man the dolly carts for the luggage...not something that is normally a problem but they only had 2 and one elevator so the rotation of people using them was a bit like rabid animals trying to get one of the 2 before the other people who were checking out. The area was very pleasant, if limited but I would not go back there especially because of the lack of foresight of a holiday weekend. I would have expected this from a lower price hotel but not from someplace that cost as much as a upstate NY all included hotel. I certainly hope they take care of these things bc then it would have been a 5 star stay. Too bad.
