Good proximity to campus

Kitschy design aesthetic sometimes got in the way of basic comfort. Lower overall quality than anticipated based on price. Unique amenities advertised weren’t as interesting or usable as Imagined based on promotion on website.

Perfect downtown Boulder location for walkability and very comfortable beds!

Location is Amazing, couldn’t be more convenient for walking to and around downtown. Also mattresses were incredibly comfortable

The walls are pretty thin, you can hear the guests in the rooms next door. And I would suggest if/when they redo the carpets they go with a darker color that goes more stains

Glorified motel.

Not much, sorry.

When we arrived to check in at 5:00PM the room was not clean. They then sent us to a room that hadn't been made up. They then said they'd clean the room. We came back and the room still wasn't clean. Oh, and then, all of a sudden, there was another room available. Disappointing. The motel did nothing to compensate us for the issues.

the crafty disguise as a students' cove does hide in part the flaws

if would not be for the high price we payed this motel with its clean and bright room should be a good choice extra features like the common room featuring a large selection of table-games, the outside fire pits and the pool are very captivating as well as the personell but do not completely erase the lack of a real fridge, the unstable toilette seat, the noisy A/C, the smell of the moquette and a bathroom that marks the years restaurants and shops on the main road are not so close

Bathroom towels are a sad joke. SAD. For $180.00 a night the 2 measly towels were transparent and dried my wife and I for less than our pre dinner shower. Morning? Drying your face? Ha. Worthless

Please don’t say “breakfast included” for this hotel. It’s misleading.

Almost nothing for breakfast. I was asked by the staff if I want coffee, and I had to pay for it.

The room is clean, and servants are nice. But a few lights in the room don’t work and need to be repaired.

Exceeded expectations

I made a last minute reservation at Base Camp after my original lodging could find no record of my reservation. Melina at the front desk was friendly and very helpful at check in and with restaurant recs. I liked that our room was set back from the street and absolutely quiet. With the black out curtains, I slept very well. We enjoyed the easy ~12 minute walk to Pearl Street.

Adequate stay-just the basics

For the most part the people there were friendly. The fire pits and jacuzzi were fun enough. They made a good cup of coffee. The beds were decent.

The rooms could have been cleaner. The rugs, towels and sheets need to be updated. They had stains and were old. The overall establishment could have been clearer and better stocked with towels and better in-room coffee. The workout space should not be called a gym or yoga space. It only had 2 stationary bikes and random free weights. It definitely could have been cleaner. The bathrooms are super tiny if you get a king size room.

The staff was really great! We were there for several days and regardless who was working, the experience was always good. They were always friendly and helpful. The game room and bar were a great as well.

Amazing staff and excellent community spaces to gather were the highlights!

All of the community spaces were excellent for our group - spacious too. Location was perfect. Loved the happy hours - great selections and prices. All the staff were courteous, gracious, and friendly.

Updates to the rooms would be great - it's an older motel. Priority - bathroom updates (toilets were new!), new carpet, and better lighting. The fitness room needs attention - towels, water, mats, and one of the peloton bike seats needed to be fixed, as well as the screen. We also couldn't figure out how to log into peloton. It's pricey for an older motel.

Property is more of a fancy motel rather than a hotel. Would have been good to know this clearly at the time of booking as this is not the impression given by the listing on booking.com. It was overpriced by at least 100$/night for the facilities and amenities at the time of our booking.

Loved the differences from a regular hotel: a climbing wall in place of a gym, a coffee bar with protein bars for breakfast, the design of the room.

I actually like the spare design, but others might consider it a drawback. I like to be in the heart of the action (and we did have to have a car) so this was a bit further out. Very close drive tho;)

Really a basic motel with run down rooms. The fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy, the water in the shower had no pressure, the curtains did not work and couldn’t be pulled up, the room was old. It would be ok for half the price.

Not located 'in the heart of downtown Boulder' - it's a 15 minute brisk walk

What is with all the waivers when checking in? Never had to sign so much in any other of the many hotels I have stayed. Room is created with students in mind I think, trying to be a bit 'hip' on the cheap I suppose, but it is basically just a motel. The whole place is a bit old, and whatever maintenance (paint jobs etc) is made is clearly done by non-professionals. Not a room you would walk in with bare feet on the carpet, for sure. Guests I encountered were a bit strange, no greetings, no eye contact. The whole place felt a bit oppressive and lacking a positive vibe that you would expect from other descriptions. Maybe I was just unlucky picking that day ...

Musty smell in room. At check in, we were not told that we had to request to get our room serviced. We asked on 3rd day to at least take out the trash, yet they did not do that. No way to use coffee pods in room.
