Pillows weren’t super comfortable

The room itself was great - clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very nice and check in was easy.

Unfortunately we had a VERY noisy guest in the room above us that kept us up all night. It wasn’t just footsteps, it was very loud crashing/ banging noises until 4am. Very sad because everything else was great.

Clean room, large shower, nice linens, comfy bed. The lovely lady staffing the night desk was warm and delightful. She took initiative and made us feel abundantly welcome. In the morning, a kind staff member filled our ice container for our ice chest.

It was difficult to find the hotel due to lack of signage. The hotel was fully booked, so the parking lot was overflowing. It was difficult to find a spot to park. The reservation desk was located in a different hotel across the street, but there was no apparent signage to indicate that until we walked up and down the strip of rooms and finally found a small note in a corner. I walked across the street, but was still mystified as to where to enter the labyrinth of walkways to find the office. The breakfast was disappointing but only because the staff seemed overwhelmed and could not refill the empty containers. We arrived at breakfast in the middle of the stated breakfast hours, and many families arrived after we were finished.

Newly remodeled motel in the center of downtown Sonora. Amenities were upscale and bed was comfortable.

There was only one blanket in the room on the bed.

Great location and very modern.

Very clean and love the vibe the room gave with local art / wood / decor. AC was not turned on when we arrived so it was quite warm in the room but as soon as we turned it on, the room cooled quite quickly. Also great location - we were in for the parade!

No elevators that we saw and we stayed on the 2nd floor. They may have been down the hall but we just used the stairs. Girl at the desk checked us in just fine, but didn’t have many recs about the area.

The Lumberjack is situated a block away from Main St. The office for check-in is inside the Sonora Inn across the street. The breakfast is also located there. The Lumberjack building appears to have been recently refurbished. The room was clean and in good shape. The outside areas are well lit at night. There are plenty of good restaurants in walking distance and as a hotel guest there are discount cards available for a few of the restaurants. The free breakfast was decent. They have a waffle maker and the usual pastries, cereal, toast, etc. The coffee was surprisingly good.

Hot water was a bit intermittent. The bathroom mirror was mounted a little high. The room lighting was fairly harsh.

Recently renovated. May be the best hotel in town. Breakfast was adequate. You have access to the facilities of the older place across the street.

It was fine. A nice makeover of an older budget hotel.

Roaches in hotel room staff kinda rude wanted to charge me 35 dollars for 30 min early check in worse check in I’ve ever had checking into a hotel

Noisy guests. Not the hotels fault of course but some people are so inconsiderate of others.

Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was great.

Room had a bad smell and one light was flickering.

Staff was amazing, she was so friendly and had excellent customer service.

The tv was not working and gave 15% off of room. The room pillows were flat & there was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. The staff did say the tv may or may not work but when we got inside, the tv had a paper on it that said please do not touch.

Front desk was generous. Hotel aesthetics were cool.

Full parking lot after 10 pm. Apparently a live band was playing at a nearby bar and people tend to park there. No remote in the room, probably because the tv didn’t work like a different time I stayed here ha! Don’t stay on the lower floors because we unfortunately got some stamp happy folks above us returning from the bar at 2am. Sounded like they were performing a river dance into the wee hours of the morning. I had to call the front desk for a noise complaint.

The value of this place was incredibly good. Also the location is perfect; at downtown Sonora close to Yosemite and Stanislaus National Forest. It is sharing resources with a hotel, for instance breakfast was at the hotel and so was the pool. Both were OK.

The Wi-fi was down and we had to report it several times before it started to work. Also we had too few towels when we arrived and one day our dirty towels were removed and not replaced. We had no access to the safe when we arrived and we needed to report it twice before it was fixed. The staff was nice and corrected these issues when we reported, but it was a bit odd to have to report these so many times during a relatively short stay.

Very friendly. Looks a little off-putting at first but once you see the rooms and are able to learn more of the history you realize how good of a place to stay it is. I would recommend it.

The AC went out during the night. They gave us a fan but still didn't keep the room cool. I wish more info was given on why we couldn't get a new room or something a little nicer. This is really the only complaint we have at all.

Great start for daily adventures - food was acc

The television did not work we were not able to connect to it as the QR code did not appear on the screen. It left us with no entertainment in evening. Carpet in bedroom was stained. Otherwise acceptable room.

Location was good, parking was right in front of the building.

Room was (too) small for four persons, one of the beds was placed right next to the airconditioning.

Excellent lobby; excellent room , bathroom and shower. They need air conditioning in the lobby and in the breakfast room. They need four waffle making presses not one only.

Body wash empty in room. Men’s bathroom in lobby had no paper towels and no soap. Girlfriend told front desk and the body wash arrived about one hour later. Seriously.
