Great hotel unfortunately next to fire station

The hotel is great! Walkable to everything. Staff was great, room was great.

The reason I didn’t give it a really high score is not the hotels fault. The fire station is right next door and it kept us up when the fire trucks would go by several times a night. We could also hear people outside all hours of the night. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything making it very hard to sleep. Do not book a room facing the street! Bring ear plugs

Nice hotel, good for a short stay.

I like the way the halls and rooms are decorated. Check in was very easy. The beds were comfortable. Since we booked through a 3rd party, our package included a $15 credit each for breakfast. We ordered off the menu, which I prefer to a buffet or continental breakfast. The restaurant had many coffee/latte options. My latte was just perfect! I would stay there again as long as the rate was kept low. The front desk and wait staff were super friendly and helpful.

The coffee is freeze-dried, to use with the supplied water kettle. I love that idea, but the coffee was terrible! There are better freeze-dried coffees out there. We were supposed to have water in our refrigerator but not really a deal killer. The bathrooms were lovely but was absolutely no where to put my toiletry bag. The sink was big but didn't have enough room on the edges to put anything. Also, when showering, there was nowhere to put the towel I intended to use afterwards. A few hooks, shelves, drawers and counter space would be helpful. The lobby and attached restaurant are very dark and not aesthetically pleasing, compared to the rest of the hotel. It felt like a cave in that area. (The 2 large lobbies on the other side of the check in desk are very nice.)

We were disappointed and was not up to normal Hilton standards.

Location was good ad offered parking and had a restaurant

Parking spaces were too small and not monitored per guest, as some cars were taking up two spaces on purpose therefore got away with it, air conditioning in the room did not run constant and was too hot in the room, the shower did not have a door and the water ran everywhere on the floor with the curtain, there was very little counter space on the sink for our personal items, a lot of dead space in the bathroom, which was an overall poorly functional design. The window curtain did not close all the way to provide room darkening for us, which was also a negative.

It was good, but could have made us more happier with better service

Breakfast was included in our booking but staff said it was not. A 5$ discount was given instead. Moreover at check in, there was indifference in how this issue was handled. It required multiple interventions later. I dont know why people work in the hospitality industry when they are not even smling or hospitable.

Disappointing for 2k

Really liked the property but paid 2k for 2 nights and 6th grade boys ran up and down the halls all hours screaming

Enjoyed the stay!

Great location. Loved the hotel decor. The bartender kindly stayed open 40 extra minutes so a couple we met could share their PSU parent experience.

Parking is pricey and the spaces are pretty tight.

Scary

Wow! To be shocked by a guest opening your door at 11 pm and then the staff knocking later to see if that was your room. Very inconsiderate since it was their error. And I had a HS age child with me for a college visit so a little unsettling to have someone open your door. I gave the hotel a chance to make it right but nothing for a week in response

Shower floors slippery, no front door to hotel- elevator area should be more welcoming and better lighting. Elevators slow to parking area, ice only on 5th floor, no filtered water refill station, coffee at restaurant cold, due to all the furniture and fabric the hotel doesn’t feel clean.

Excellent choice for visiting state college

Very authentic hotel, you can feel the spirit of the college right from its doors. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, the rooms were new and clean.
