Party People Ruined Our Stay

Clean, safe and affordable

The people staying adjacent to our room had a huge party with so much chatter we could hear through the walls and LOUD music past 10:00 PM. We had to call the front office to complain. It’s very disrespectful and disruptive to people who were trying to get a good night’s sleep!

Amazing view!

I liked the hot tub and pool running 24 hours as well as the restaurant and bowling alley too! I like the view of the hotel and the way that we could see the lake as well as the snowy mountains!

Recently renovated hotel in an excellent location, comfortable rooms, needs a bit more charm

The room was recently renovated and as a result very comfortable. Shower was clean, nice & had good hot water with solid water pressure. The room had ample lighting. The bed was comfortable. The sheets and towels were all new, comfortable & fluffy/soft. The room had a mini fridge, with microwave & desk. The internet was good. The view & closeness to the Lake was excellent, even though it was right next to the main road there was limited noise. The parking was accessible and well lit we felt safe parking there. The entrances and exits were well shoveled, had no ice & the parking lot was easy to get into/out from. The room had excellent blackout and privacy curtains that kept the room dark and warm. The heater worked well, we were comfortable in our room. There was a TV but we did not watch.

The Mechanics of the hotel were very good. But to be direct - the hotel itself has little charm. I would come here with friends on a ski trip, not with a spouse/partner on a weekend away. The hallways, the entrance to our building, the elevator were bare/stark and smelled heavily of pine sol disinfectant daily and felt very sparse (no furniture, no chairs to wait for people, no art on the walls, no plants, no holiday decorations, nothing at all). Also, the door to our hotel room was not very secure. There was a 1+ inch gap below the door itself (easy for someone to push a bar under to open the lever door knob to break in) - both our room's doorframe and the locking mechanism were also not very secure. We let the front desk know at the end of the trip they were nice and apologized.

Great location for lake views

The view from our room was great, to see the lake out of the room was wonderful and well worth the additional payment. Pleased that it had coffee machine and we could get refills. Its location away from the hustle and bustle of further into the town was a plus for us, but you can’t really walk to the shops or restaurants although there’s a good restaurant on site.

Initially gave me room very close to restaurant with outdoor deck and lights and speakers blaring country western music. After my request for another room that was away from restaurant, assigned low ceiling , dirty carpeted room which we dubbed " the basement." Toilet stopped up and cracked concrete hallway floors. Great Stay at Lake Tahoe

I recently stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The check-in process was quick and welcoming, with staff who were both friendly and professional. My room was spotless, well-lit, and equipped with all the amenities I needed and the bed was super comfy.

Location was great.

We were expecting something nicer for the price. The hotel photos are deceiving; it does not look as nice in person. Building is old, so it seems like they tried to remodel. The remodeling was poor and sloppy. Our room felt more like a motel room; it felt dreary. The front desk staff was not very friendly.

The facilities were dirty, old, musty and dark. There is truly nothing nice I can say about this hotel other than it’s location. The carpet throughout the hotel was dirty, but absolutely filthy in our hotel room. The room wreaked of chemicals and when I complained about the smell, they told me it was from a treatment they used after pets had stayed on property. They advised me to leave the slider open to help get rid on the smell. This was rated a 4 star on Booking and should have been rated a 2 star hotel at best. The price was astronomical for the amenities we received. No maid service during your stay as well.

I always do a “cleaning “ of our hotel rooms using Clorox wipes, focusing on disinfecting high touch areas like phone, toilets ,sinks etc.This was the first room where the wipes were left completely clean looking! No dirt or residue left on them after wiping things down! The bathroom toilet was pristine.

Front desk clerk that checked me in did not give me as detailed information as the guy next to him. The other guy can be heard telling cast where to eat, what beach is to go to, different amenities about the hotel. My guy basically just told me where my room was and where to park. After checking in we unload all of our stuff from the car my husband goes to take our son to the bathroom and come to find out that there is no power. We learned from a guest that was hanging out outside that they had not had power all day. Neither of the clerks at the front desk mentioned this to me or to any of the guest that were checking in at the same time I was. Not a great first start to the day. Huge lake view room with balcony, pretty décor and ample space for luggage. Separate area for wash basin and dressing up. Ample parking Kids enjoyed the hot pool. Very convenient for a lakeside walk and many good restaurants in the vicinity.

Close to walking path near Lake. Corner room was brighter than original darker room . Easy walking to casual restaurant nearby. Dedicated dog area was convenient.
