This is a special property that goes out of its way to make guests feel welcome.

Wow. The Kenwood is like a little taste of Italy in California's wine country. The buildings are gorgeous, and our room could not have been nicer. We felt spoiled and pampered during our stay. We enjoyed the evening wine tasting before heading nearby for dinner, and then took advantage of the outdoor hot pool to have a leisurely soak later that night. I have celiac disease, and was very happy with the gluten-free bagel with cream cheese and lox for breakfast. My husband raved about the vegetable quiche that he had. Our only regret about our stay was that it was only one night.

The warming pool was great as was the cozy living room off of the lobby. So enjoyable to have complimentary sparking wine at check in and wine tasting at 5. Then port and cookies after dinner. The breakfast burritos were excellent!

A relaxing place to spend a few days interspersed with wine tastings and shop wonderings.

The ambience of the Inn is fantastic. Vine-covered buildings, bubbling waters, heated pool and spa, all were well-maintained and country-chic. Staff was helpful, everything was clean and location was a convenient 15-20 minutes from the Sonoma town square and a multitude of restaurants and small shops.

The continental breakfast was only OK. The only hot item was scrambled eggs that sat in the heated serving vessel for the entire breakfast window. Yogurt, granola, bread and bagel, and fresh berries were also available as was a small selection of sweet rolls. A little minimalist . . .

Awesome place to stay!

The grounds were beautiful. The staff was one of the best I have ever had. I loved that there was a fireplace not only in our room, but also in the courtyard. There are water, tea and coffee available 24 hours and a complementary wine hour in the evening. I will be back for sure

The property was clean and our room was set back away from the road. The staff was exceptional - friendly, helpful and responsive. Special shout out to Lim Ann, the concierge. The fireplace in the room was a cozy surprise. The wine tasting experience was very well-done.

Not worth the cost

The property is beautiful. The housekeeping staff and Spa staff were incredible.

Our shower dripped like a vending machine camp shower. The staff definitely tried to remedy the problem—they called in a plumber on our last day and had attempted to fix it before that. However, in the end, we were told that the plumber had checked it and said it was working as it should. Well, if that's the case, then the shower pressure is poor and definitely not up to standard for a $700-a-night resort. We ended up using the spa shower, which was functioning normally. In short: if you don’t care about water pressure, it’s not a bad place to stay. If you do, don’t stay here—because the issue exists and hasn’t been resolved .

A magical, luxurious oasis in the beautiful Sonoma valley

Our whole experience staying at Kenwood Inn & Spa has been amazing. The place is gorgeous, unique, and crafted with great taste. We felt like we had traveled far away, in a very protected and cozy bubble. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the massage at the spa was amazing.

The only thing I would change is the music played outside in the garden by the pool before 8 am on Sunday morning because I could hear it from our room. Not that it woke me up, but I would wait until 9 am before playing it.

Our stay was an amazing experience and chance to relax for a few days.

Very unique romantic property. The staff goes out of their way to be of service to you. They give you a tour of the property upon arrival. You might think you traveled to Europe with the beautiful landscaped grounds, courtyard seating around a fountain for your enjoyment. Complimentary wine tasting every night, hot coffee bar available all day, fresh baked cookies available in the reception area, and lovely breakfast room for a complimentary start to your day. Suite was well appointed with a fireplace that we truly enjoyed.

It may be important to think about what hospitality business is all about.

Kenwood Inn is a beautiful small resort which must have amazing gardeners and beautiful comfortable rooms.

though everything was beautiful, there were no human connections with the staffs. Staffs were polite, very clinical, but often lacking knowledge of history of the place. The idea that guests were there to get away from everyday experience was absent. The check out was tortuous… even though we prepaid, we were double charged and had to argue with the reception staff 3 times. They asked us to forward them the confirmation I received from Booking.com. I thought they were supposed to take care of business. we were supposed to enjoy the hospitality….

Beautiful, stunning property with everything you could ask for. Stayed for the honeymoon night and didn't want to leave. the staff were more than accommodating for every need, even when there was a "finicky" person in the room below me.
