    Good value for the location. While the lobby is beautiful the rooms are dated and the step up to the bathroom is an accodent waiting to happen. Staff was very nice

    Do not be fooled by brick exterior, hotel has alot of class and history. One block from gateway Arch Park, 5 blocks fro Busch Stadium, and one block from National Blues Museum. Great location, enjoyed my stay.

    Safe area, let us check in early. Perfect for walking to Cardinal’s games and exploring downtown STL. The AC was a little weak but it was also 95°+ so the room was a little warm. I’ve been to this hotel several times before and never a problem. I will always book with MAC if they have availability when I’m visiting STL.

    Not a bad value for money considering where it is, however, a few issues. We couldn't use the hotel bar or restaurant as it has a strict dress code which we weren't told of in advance. I'm not even sure if we were allowed to wear what we were wearing at the reception on check in - if I was wearing leggings and trainers I wouldn't have been able to enter the lobby and hence to check in. As tourists, we certainly haven't all packed for such an occasion - not everyone wears shirts or polo shirts on a daily basis. We arrived quite late and planned to eat there, however we had to look for an alternative which wasn't ideal. The rooms would really do with an update, the aircon is really outdated and not working properly. Even with the ceiling fan on, the room was boiling! I have to say the hotel lobby is stunning and the health club amazing for a hotel, well worth paying *** for the whole stay (I'd have been happy to pay that as a daily rate, to be honest). I can't say I would stay again, even though this may appeal to other travellers.
