This is an older hotel, but it is clean and well maintained. Excellent but pricey for Texarkana Chinese restaurant there on the premises.

The location was great and the proprietress was so very kind and welcoming. I was so weary and she made certain I was comfortable. It meant the world to me.

Missed the mark (by a mile)

The desk lady was friendly in the morning (after i woke her to check in at 3am) The bed wasn't rock hard, so that's a plus, and I didn't physically see any bugs.

There wasn't anything, about the room, (other than the bed didn't cause crippling pain) to like. There were dingy (almost gray looking) mismatched sheets, one towel and one wash rag (same gross gray color), a 1/4 roll of toilet paper (no extra), and two small, very flat, (probably 10-year-old) pancake pillows. The room itself smelled like cat urine, (although pets are not allowed there) and was very rundown. That was also a cover on the bed about as thick as a tablecloth to try and keep warm with. We weren't looking for a fancy hotel or anything but this was in really, really poor condition.

What I pay for is what I received, nothing special anywhere.

You get what you pay for. In this instance I would have liked to have a Cleaner furniture. I checked the room thoroughly before I decided to stay. There were a few housekeeping problems but all in all for the money it was good.

Furniture was well worn on the arms and material was torn. Not something I would want to set on or put my clothing on. Mattress pad needs changing. Short dark hair in the shower. Dead bug in the corner near the luggage bench. Only one lock on the door so I put the chair in front of the door. Not allowed inside of checkin area. Always an issue. Since covid this has happened often. It seems many have made it there normal. LOW HOSPITALITY .

It's great overall.

They don't have breakfast or BBQ.I've been using my own towels.The Boutique hotel has a sign up saying they charge $160 a week.Its next door to Albertsons and close to several great restaurants.

I could use clean sheets and towels and if I paid less,it would be great.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

Nothing. The cleanliness was adequate which was the only positive.

The staff member who checked us in, was very rude and disrespectful. Very unpleasant person. Our credit card wouldn't process (husband forgot to activate it and didn't figure out till later that that was the issue) and it took several attempts trying to run it. We switched to a different credit card and the lady snidely stated, "so is this one going to work?". Additionally, the heater in the room didn't work properly and blew cold air. The same individual who checked us in argued with us that it was working and refused to switch us to another room. She did come down and check it but insisted that it would warm up eventually. Two hours later, it was still blowing cold air and freezing in our room. The beds were miserable. The tops were so thin, you could feel the springs in them. We ended up switching to another hotel that very night. We'd paid for two nights and couldn't get a refund because they had a sign posted that said "no refunds". The lady wouldn't even give us a number to contact to complain. My father-in-law, who was on hospice, was passing away and we just didn't' have the strength to fight it! The whole ordeal made a difficult sad situation so much worse!
