The attendant at the desk was great. The housekeeper was great. The code for the WiFi was hard to read for one of our group because the "b" was not completed - not a big deal.

The freezer on the refrigerator clicked all night long, but the A/C drawned it out at times.

Room was clean, bed comfy, but we needed a wheelchair accessible room, and that is what we were told it was, but when we arrived, they did not have a wheelchair accessible room that allowed dogs. It was probably our fault for not calling, but they could not accommodate us so it was a bad situation.

Nice place to stay in close to Cades Cove

Great location. Huge room. Townsend is a fantastic little place to stay. Love being so close to the National Park. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was nice. The breakfast was good. The breakfast staff was awesome!

The fireplace didn't work. The needs to be USB charging ports near the bed. We saw some young roaches. The check in clerk wasn't the most friendly (but everyone else was fantastic, especially the breakfast guy)

We didnt check in til late and the lady that was working nights was not very personable. The parking lot was kind of odd lay out. The room was ok. I have to say the gentleman. Who was there when we went down for breakfast was very nice, helpful, polite and had a great attitude. He was helpful and nice.

Thicker blankets would be nice, or at least have some in the closet. I used both beds' blankets on one bed. Please please have breakfast at 6 am. I'd like to be at the cove for sunrise, not an option with such a late breakfast.

Good breakfast; great coffee; room very clean and smelled wonderful; staff was wonderful; was right on the walking/bike trail.

Only shampoo bottle and bar soap in the shower; hairdryer switch was broken and had to turn on with GFI buttons; needed chairs or area to sit out front for view.

How spacious and clean were the rooms. It looked liked an effort was made to remodel. Some things were still a little dated but the overall condition was good! I would stay here again.

Old glue stains around the base of the toilet. The sheets were thin and worn. The entire bed coverings should be replaced!

Disappointing due to lack of a pool, which was expected due to stays in years past.

Front desk staff on check in was not particularly friendly, we were extremely disappointed to discover there was no pool. Luckily the hotel nextdoor welcomed us to their pools for a minimal cost. I had asked for 2nd floor, but received 1st floor lodging. Was not happy about that. Also bathroom was not as clean as expected (especially around the toilet) and sink drain was messed up. I would highly recommend some kind of skid strips or mat in the bathtub. We had to put down towels to keep from slipping.

Desk clerk was not friendly or welcoming, definitely there just for a paycheck. Hotel is Older, but clean BUT the air freshener was overwhelming. As if they were trying to cover over something in our room. Gave me a headache and made me nauseous. When I unpacked my luggage, my clothes had absorbed that smell. Had to wash everything.

An Experience

The location is near everything in Townsend. The motel is quiet, which is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to stay somewhere near my elderly parents; I am their caregiver, and I had just had some surgery. I was hoping for some rest somewhere within an hour of where we all live.

The breakfast was pretty bad. The coffee was terrible. The eggs were tasteless. The biscuits were really sad examples. The tub had a slow leak that must have regurgitated some black hair up into the tub...yuck! My hair is gray. I did have one scary experience of someone trying to break in my room from the adjoining room. I had slid the deadbolt shut earlier, thank God! I would have reported it, but I assumed it may have been a maid since it happened in the middle of the day. The bed was comfortable once I got up on it. I am short and had recently had surgery. It was very difficult to get up on the bed. I had to pull a chair up next to the bed to push my way up.

Hotel seemed okay. It was clean. Hotel staff was blunt and expressed no empathy for my situation.

Room was clean and bed seemed good. Air conditioner unit was quiet and cooled the room well.

Upon arriving, I had an emergency call from my family that required me to leave immediately and travel over 3 hrs back to my home. The hotel staff would not refund my stay even though I had not done anything within the room other than unpack and sit on the bed for a few minutes. The snack machine was completely empty/out of order. If you book on July 4th, be aware that there is a fireworks show held each year on an adjacent property to the hotel.

Location is very good. Check in easy and staff friendly. Water pressure in shower was good and drained well. Bed was comfortable. Decent breakfast.

Wi fi was poor. Called the office with a minor issue and no one answered. Breakfast served at exactly 7:00 a.m. No coffee maker in room. So if you want an earlier cup you are out of luck.

The bed was comfortable, the room was a decent size and the breakfast was OK. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

All the sugary cereals for breakfast - need to offer some healthy cereals and more fruit.
