HH Whitney House - A Bed & Breakfast on the Historic Esplanade

TOUT: Un séjour inoubliable dans cette maison d’hôtes historique. Glen est vraiment incroyable , il fait tout pour vous faire vivre une expérience unique, chaque jour Glen concocte pour ses hôtes un petit déjeuner digne des meilleurs restaurants français : pain perdu à la praline avec des fruits rouges…. Un grand moment de partage avec les autres convives Je n’ai jamais rencontré quelqu’un d’aussi attentionné et généreux. Un immense merci pour ce séjour 🙏

Je verblijft in een prachtig historisch huis in een fijne wijk van New Orleans. Wat het bijzonder maakt is de persoonlijke aanpak van Glenn: hij laat je helemaal thuisvoelen in zijn huis en hij voelt feilloos aan waar iedereen behoefte aan heeft. Daarbij kookt hij elke ochtend een vers ontbijt: iedere ochtend stond er wat anders op tafel! Dit alles gaf een enorme meerwaarde aan onze dagen in New Orleans.

The location was perfect for those looking for a New Orleans experience - close to the French Quarter, but without the noise and constant tourist traffic. The lodging had the eccentric charm of New Orleans with furniture, art, and decorations encompassing numerous decades. The breakfasts that Glen, the proprietor, made was of restaurant quality. The bed and bath was clean, the room had air conditioning, as well as ceiling fans, and the pool and hot tub were maintained. When I ended my stay, Glen sent me on my way with a delicious ham, swiss, and cream cheese croissant since I was leaving before the regular breakfast time.

I think some folks might not like the vintage charm of the guest house - which is very old and quirky. If you are looking for a more modern lodgings with minimalist decor, than this spot may not be for you.
