Wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel

Love the hotel, our room and the location. This was our 4th visit and we ended up in a smaller room than previous visits; I need to figure out which room we loved and be sure to book it next time. Breakfast is a nice continental, the coffee is good, the staff is great. Location on the edge of downtown is perfect. And they have EV charging in the garage. Lots of little niceties like bathrobes, candies on the bed, slippers, comfy chairs (two of them!) in the room to relax and read in. This is one of our favorite hotels.

The pocket door in the bathroom was really hard to move. However I am confident they will fix it.

This hotel is in a perfect spot in downtown Pleasanton with plenty of parking . I loved absolutely everything about this hotel can’t wait to stay here again !

This hotel is so charming! The morning buffet breakfast in the sunny lobby bar is lovely. It is situated on main street where there were multiple outstanding choices to have drinks, dine and shop. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, and helpful.

A luxury treat in downtown Pleasanton!

The attention to detail. There is everything you need in the room and more. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, very clean, spacious. Both a shower and a bath in our bathroom. A real sense of a luxury in downtown Pleasanton. We had a drink at the bar in the evening and the service was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and a bit different from the usual offerings, which was very welcome!

The Rose Hotel is a gorgeous property in an ideal location on Pleasanton's Main Street. Every detail is looked after with care, and the rooms are spotless. You feel like you are staying at your wealthy grandmother's updated home!

Get rid of those bedspreads. The rooms would be more aesthetically pleasing and germ free with simple, neutral, washable bed covers.

Beautiful Hotel!

We stayed after my daughters wedding. I got a room for the bride and groom a room and a room for my boyfriend and I. It was such a beautiful place and great to relax in the tub after the wedding!

decent enough to stay if you have business in the area

it was clean and relatively efficient.. the room was big and the bathroom pretty comfortable.. and the mini fridge was empty but big enough to fit more than a few relatively large bottles of water.

the staff weren’t very helpful and they did not offer to help with bags or warn us about how early restaurants in the area close.. the only food available after 9- 9:30 pm is a pizza place that delivers through Uber Eats..

Luxury, beautiful decor, attention to detail. Loved this hotel!

Room was beautiful with so much attention to detail. Gorgeous bathroom. Loved the decor. Beds and pillows so comfortable. Continental breakfast was great and laid out so beautifully with nice touches like little rose detailed spoons for stirring coffee and hollandaise sauce for boiled eggs and ham. General Manager was so nice talking with us. Turn down service with mints and more. Music softly playing for ambiance. Fruit and treats at floor elevators. And on and on and on.

Truly, that we arrived later than check-in and didn’t take advantage of every minute of booking. The front desk person who checked us in was very grumpy and curt which was odd as the General manager and front desk staff the next day were extraordinarily pleasant and friendly and a delight.

The beds are so comfortable and they have a wide range of room types from large lavish suites to regular rooms with little special touches such as chocolates with bed turn down, candle for the jacuzzi bath, and a spiral notebook with pen on the desk. However, the hotel is beginning to look its age. Worn bedspread, grout missing on tile, and rugs that have had multiple cleanings. But it remains a very beautiful hotel with lots of amenities in a great location.

That the garbage company came at 4:45 am to empty the large box garbage bins and the ACE train runs by blowing their horn beginning at 6:20 am and every hour after until after 8 am so sleeping in on that amazingly comfortable bed wasn’t possible

It was a pretty busy weekend, lots of people. But non was wearing mask except us. I just thought for public health perspective, mask should be worn to protect their staff and the guests.

Catastrophically disaster

Only one thing was nice about the hotel was the location.

Front desk didn’t care to greet their new guests. Checked in my room and after 2 hours the thermostat broke. Called the front desk, they took their sweet time to do something about it. In the new room the sink was clogged. And the tv didn’t work well. Needed fresh air then the AC. Tried to open the windows. One window was broken. Overall a complete disaster of a hotel. And it’s outdated.
