I would not stay here again.

Building is poorly insulated for sound. Other guests seemed low class and discourteous, stomping above, speaking loudly in the halls, and honking and revving engines in the parking lot. Staff barged in to clean the room at 9:30 of my first morning despite my "do not disturb sign." Hot tub was lukewarm warm. Staff was friendly but an subpar experience overall terrible value and I would never stay here again. I so wish I could get a refund.

The price seemed good, but now I see why. We didn't stay longer than it took to unpack the car and repack it. Curious as to why? Take a look at the photos 📸 ...

We found creepy crawlers in the bed. When we went to talk to Management about it.... they implied that we brought them in! I was appalled. No Sorry, just offered a different room. We didn't want to move to another infested room, so asked for a refund which was refused. I wasted two nights stay. I ended going back to B.W. in Capitola where we stayed a couple of nights before. What a relief.

Being in Capitola. Breakfast offered fresh fruit cups, but SO MANY unhealthy & sweet breakfast options. This is California. I expected more nutritious offerings.

My room was on the side of a main road and very noisy during sleeptime. The two sinks had residue around the chrome drain plate, so not very clean. The pull-out sofa, for a second guest, was so soft and unsupportive, that we chose not to use it. A better mattress is needed.

We visit Capitola every year and we stay at your hotel every year. Always enjoy our stay!

We really liked the mattress. I know that seems like a simple thing but when you're older and have arthritis, it's important. First time in a hotel that we both woke up rested and almost pain free.

The only thing that would have been better for us; the plug in for car charging wasn't made for our Ford Escape.

Bed was so hard might as well be sleeping on the floor, for a romantic getaway this is not the place to pick, wild kids running up and down the hallway and stairs well past 11pm and couldn't enjoy simple hot tub or pool because there were at least 6 to ten young kids running going from the pool to the hot tub and jumping into both until closing time. So for a family outing this would be fine but not a couple trying to relax and enjoy company.

Our new favorite hotel in Santa Cruz/Capitola!

Huge clean/modern room with all the amenities. Our King room even had a fireplace we weren't expecting. The breakfast was great with tons of options. Price was great too. Definitely the best hotel we've stayed at in Santa Cruz area in a long time. Will definitely stay here again.

Location was a little more of a drive for boardwalk and stuff on Santa Cruz side but not too bad. Very minor inconvenience for all the other perks.

Normally the breakfast has good items and variety. This time the foods sub-par and very disappointing. he eggs were awful. Didn't taste like real eggs. probably some powdered science experiment. Staff didn't seem to really know how the TV and other hotel amenities work.

Comfortable, very clean room.

We really liked the room's big sofa and the small desk with a comfortable office chair! And we loved the huge variety of breakfast items to choose from.

The orange juice I got from the dispenser one morning was almost colorless and had practically no taste, so I emptied it out and chose an apple juice instead, which was fine.

Great Stay

Friendly staff, very clean, Good breakfast, very comfortable, tub with jets, great parking away from the main street and convenient location for walking to surrounding stores, restaurants, movie theater and shopping center. Really like staying here.

I love this place fresh cookies at check in the barista machine is always available and working. Customer service is excellent and hotel is very clean. So much more amenities to choose from. The breakfast is excellent so much more to choose from and large room and a lot of seating I will keep coming back to this best Western for sure . Keep up the great work !!! And there was a microwave in our suite which was a great use to warm up.our left overs .

Great place to stay, close to downtown Capitola. Had a fabulous time with my son and granddaughter.

The property was clean and up-to-date. The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and comfortable bedding. Everyone was very nice and the breakfast was fabulous.

Very comfortable, clean, and beautiful hotel. Our room was facing the parking lot and was very quiet also at night. Great coffee machine at reception available at all times. The breakfast was quiet rich too. We didn‘t use the pool, but it looked nice.

Coming from Europe, I‘m still shocked that hotels including Best Western Plus only hand out wasteful single-use breakfast dishes and utensils. I firmly believe that this hotel chain could and should do better!

The breakfast was excellent good food and selection. Everything was kept clean and stocked. The manager upgraded our room after I told her my husband was disabled and it was hard for him to go all the way up to the 3rd floor. She gave us a room on the 1st floor and it was also an upgrade.

Solid Santa Cruz Hotel

We stayed overnight for an evening event that was nearby. The rooms were spacious and modern. The floors were hardwood floor so it might be a good idea to bring slippers if you get cold feet. Hot breakfast and the eating area are typical of Best Western fare. However, there are a lot of really good breakfast/brunch places in Santa Cruz area that its better to explore if you can.
