Location is awesome. Right in the heart of Lake Placid. Rooms were very clean. Restaurant and bar were very nice.
Upon checking in and arriving in our room, we discovered that even though we reserved a High Floor-Lake View room, we were given a room that looks out on the rear parking lot. When I went back to the desk to rectify the issue, I was told all of the room types that I reserved were occupied. We love to visit Lake Placid in the winter and have stayed at this hotel (prior to it changing ownership) more than a dozen times. This issue was extremely disappointing. We were compensated with 2 breakfasts and 2 nights of the valet parking but the issue left us wondering if we would return to this property.
