Lion Inn - Saint Augustine

We choose this motel when we are in St Augustine only for concerts at The Amp and possibly a beach visit during the stay. The location is great for concerts, and the motel is less expensive than other nearby options! The Lion Inn is super close to restaurants and a brewery, and it isn't a terrible walk to/from The Amp when rideshares are super pricey. The Lion Inn consistently provides a clean, no-frills room at a reasonable expense.

The bedding was so uncomfortable, I struggled to get a good night's sleep during the weekend there. The pillows are too flat and soft, and the mattress is too hard. I know that's a preference thing, but I'll have to try to remember to bring my own pillow in the future. The water also takes a very long time to get hot for a shower, and it never did really get above "warm."

Reasonable price and a great sized room. Fridge working, location fantastic, a half hours walk over the drawbridge to the historic district with a multitude of unique shops. Beds were comfy. Plenty of parking, and a pool( not used) but looked ok.
