Lions Gate Hotel

Breakfast was good. No complaints. Location was interesting and enjoyed a stroll around the old airbase grounds.

No complaints. The staff were helpful but could have smiled some to make us feel welcomed when we first checked in.

Interesting refurbished officers club type facility, now a hotel with eclectic sized of rooms. Mine was small but perfectly furnished with comfy bed, fluffy towels, glass top desk and comfortable chair.

Had to walk (I drove actually) a ways to the ‘restaurant’ that was located in a building that held the office. It was as on he other side of the property. I got food to go that was very good.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and bent over backwards to help ensure we enjoyed our stay.

She have received some type of credit being that rooms had no heater. I was cold all the night that I stayed there.

Quiet, lots of space. I love free parking. Easy to navigate the area. Breakfast was yummy. Nice people. Clean property. Near the Aerospace museum and close to the freeway.

The room was a little cold, even with the heat. I asked for an extra blanket. That helped. It was a little challenging to find my room at night, even with the map. I found the manor bldg, but I wasn’t able to get in the back door.

Front desk lady was very nice. We had a celebration of life for my boyfriend and the officers club was wonderful.

Our room had bed bugs. We didn’t stay. Trying to get my charges reversed and was told the manager would call me; no calls.

Breakfast was good. I liked the option with bagels and waffles. The staff were kind and helpful. Room was clean.

I had no clue that this hotel is so close to main street. Our room was right next to the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. The windows weren't soundproof and it was loud during the night. The room was not exactly the same as shown at the picture of the room we booked.

I liked how close the property was to downtown

I dislike the the lack of a pool being that it is outdoor and out of season and when I asked staff if pool was open they said yes and that was a lie and should be worked on in the communication department with the front and back of house.

Checkout was easy

Called to check-in early because I was having trouble online doing it - was told "sure come in - we have rooms available already." I get to the lobby & I find 3 other frustrated ppl who can't check-in either because the only worker was out to lunch. The breakfast is located where the office is - it's a bit of a walk. Booking.com had this location 3.1m from our Soccer Tournament - it was NOT - it was 20mins away. Tried to wash uniforms - machines were broken. No drinks or snacks in the lobby nor things like detergent.

Always a pleasure. The breakfast was delicious, they have an EV charger for my PHEV KIA, the rooms are spacious.

The plug in the bathtub was too big so the water for my bath drained away.

The staff is super pleasant except the maid she was mad and wanted my husband to leave but I was in office paying for another night.

I payed booking but when I gave my card to clerk for deposit he charged me room again.. I m waiting to see if I get money back

TV broken ,phone Jacks pull out of wall. Electrical plates some broken. Middlee bed stand had shattered glass front sharp glass and had a 2 yr old there. She didn't get cut but still dangerous. Wanted clean towels but housekeeping never came by NOT ONCE. My room always smelled of POT. I know it's not hotels issue but it wiffed into my room. I had a infant there ya know. We managed but I will not return again Breakfast was okay pretty standard.

We were given an "upgrade" to a room facing a street! No sleep due to the cars driving by and people walking by having conversations.

Property definitely needs updating everything is so old carpet in hallways needs to be replaced there’s holes everywhere

Everything! Because it was SO BAD, I have requested that booking.com investigate my complaints and am requesting an entire refund. This was three days ago. Have not heard from anyone, shocker! If I could give them a negative number, i would!!

Great for what we needed. We were there for volleyball tournament across the street. Loved to be able to walk to volleyball. Liked that the room was spacious. Liked grounds.

Room needed a bit more cleaning. It’s a bit dated.needs a few plates and silverware.

Ice maker for building didn’t work, hair dryer didn’t work, main exit door didn’t work which meant you had to go down long hall to exit. Had there been an emergency at night it would add be been a huge problem, rust in bottom of bath tub. I told front desk about these when we checked out and she said, yea, we know!

The grounds were beautiful, and staff answered the phone in the middle of the night. They were quick to respond when we left something behind.

The AC didn't work in the late spring/early summer when it was a day in the triple digits. There was a little fan that helped somewhat, but we paid for a room with working AC. When we realized the room wasn't cooling down, we called for help, and staff told us how to fix it. The fix didn't work. We asked for a different solution, but their only suggestion was for us to carry all our luggage to a different building in the middle of the night, and we were too exhausted for that. The room was around 80 degrees all night. We feel it is unfair to expect full price for a room that wasn't as specified. The manager couldn't be located in the morning when we wanted to complain. We asked the manager to call us back, but no-one ever did. We don't feel that we were treated fairly by Lions Gate Hotel and cannot recommend the property to others.

Quite awesome dining in the Officers Club. Nice pool and jacuzzi.

Water leaking alongside toilet. Toilet clogged and had to request plugger twice.

Way nicer than I expected from the cost. Staff was really helpful, room was very pleasant, quiet, clean, location felt very nice and safe, if out of the way. The complex was quite lovely too. There's free breakfast, though I didn't have time in the morning to go down and get some.

Not really any significant complaints! If there's anything it would just be that the room was a little bit warmer than my preference. (There might've even been a way to adjust that that I missed...) Also the key cards are really easy to demagnetize on accident, and a bit finicky to swipe, so keep that in mind. The bathroom doors are a bit of a weird style and it can be hard to close them the first time you get into the room — pulling at the top of the doorframe works better than using the little latch thing, though do be careful of your fingers. If those are my only complaints though, I'd say that reflects really well on this place for the price. I was very satisfied and would stay here again in a heartbeat if I had the occasion to.

The room and beds were small, the kitchen had no pots or plates and it didn't even work. The place was very dirty, the breakfast was cold and of very poor quality. The pool had a cement floor that was falling apart.
