Heavenly in rain or sunshine.
I have been coming here since the 1970’s. This owner has figured out how to provide amenities and provide comfort.

Ive lived on the coast my whole life and have been told this is the place to stay. So wanted to see it.
Parking in the pond sucks. Esp at night.
The room was like being at camp. Not for the price we paid.

The staff was wonderful and the room was beautiful.
Very old TV and they charge $25 to rent a movie on their own platform.

Clean, beautiful property, close to the beach and comfortable beds.
The hot tub/spa was not hot, and no robes inside the rooms a ways from the pool.

I love tennis. Salishan has outstanding tennis courts that are easy to schedule. Courts were clean, well maintained. Level of doubles competition was excellent as well. Tennis is free for people staying at the lodge.
The room was beautiful, heated by gas fireplace. I had a forest view. The room was completely quiet so I could do computer work and read undisturbed.
Salishan has a great pool and weight room.
The lodge itself is essence of casual elegance.
I have no complaints.

Beautiful location
- Horrible customer service and guest experience from check in to check out. Housekeeping forgot to clean room despite requesting 2X. Not help carrying luggage for block and up stairs. Room service serviced in plastic trays in a takeout bag despite how expensive it was.
- Food is overcooked and covered in sauces, oil or salt to make up for lack of flavor.
- The property has so much potential but sadly the facilities and the rooms look like they haven’t been updated in about 25 years.

The room was clean and beautiful. Front staff was exceptional.
No air conditioning. They are a green facility, so they want you to open your door and use the provided fan. Our neighbor was a smoker, so we kept having to close the door. The room was way too hot and stuffy.

We had a bay view room, you could see the sunset. The room was about the size of a one bd apartment. Very inviting.
Dog barking from across the hall all night long, it wasn't clear if as a guest we were allowed to use the pool so we didn't. Not all areas in our room were clean and we could hear the traffic

Outdated bathroom for the money

Love the feel of a lodge in the green surroundings
I booked a bay view for extra money but didn’t get a view at all. Staff told me they never guarantee the view. So I asked for a different room which had a view. It was a less expensive room apparently because it had no balcony. Also NO airconditioning!! It said to open the door and window and let a breeze go through. That didn’t work for this top floor room because the door was open to an area under a slanted roof that was hotter then our room. We bought a box fan at the local hardware store and were able to cool it down a bit. The windows were dirty and spiderwebs everywhere. The bathroom smelled like mold or wet old towels. Bed was comfortable , the room was very large and the area was beautiful. Staff was mediocre and it took forever to get our drinks at dinner. This place would be so great if they would just put a little more effort into it

A good mix of nature and hotel.
The kids playground areas were subpar. Considering the majority of people there had kids. For the prices they charge they need to update kid areas.

The entire atmosphere of Salishan is incredible. You can do whatever you want and stay on property. We especially enjoyed all of the paths. The facility is incredibly clean and well taken care of. Also the sustainabi9lity programs at the Lodge are great. If there was a way to give this 11 stars I would

The lake view room, the fireplace, the trails, the beach, the bars/restaurants on property and near by, the location, the staff. Everything!
The bathroom had a sewer smell but we aired the room out

wine was good and service was very good
Had the clam chowder and the serving was very small and it was also too salty. Had the chicken sandwich which was over-all good but the aioli was very strange and "chalky" and I would not have that sandwich next time because of this condiment. The room was nice but without carpet or a rug seemed not very cozy. The glass on the fireplace wasn't clean which took away from the ambience as well.

Cool property, very pretty surroundings, great amenities but definitely loud highway noise. Our room was pretty close to 101 so wasn't the most peaceful. Close to Depot Bay and Lincoln city so lots to do in surrounding area.
5.0 / 10.0
Pretty setting however a little noisy from proximity to 101.
Their spa facilities are falling apart, literally. Plans in the women’s sauna a re loose, the temperature wouldn’t reach above 100 degrees (supposed to be around 160). Their „hot „ tub is nearly as warm as their pool. For a place that calls themselves a „spa „ and resort , they’re far from it. Don’t recommend it.
Restaurant is underwhelming with bartenders who lack knowledge of classic cocktails. Strange experience.

I did not get the view that I paid for which was supposed to be the premium Bay/Forest view. I got the bottom view of bushes. The refrigerator was on top of dry rot wood, which made the refrigerator wonky when you opened it. The TV was broken and the couch bed was very uncomfortable. There were no blankets just sheets on both beds. I had to ask for three blankets, the flooring was cracked around the toilet, which made the toilet sink in. This vacation was supposed to be a celebration of my son’s birthday. I went home a day early I did not get refunded for paying for a premium room and didn’t receive it. Very unhappy will never stay there again.

I liked that it was like being at a resort, the golf course is huge, it has a trail through the woods to the beach. The beach access is as closed for erosion, but if you take the road to the left, there is another public access on the right between some houses. Loved the little strip mall they have. The smoothie shop also has yogurt bowls regular and dairy free, which were fantastic and a good value!
The pictures shown on booking.com for a double queen room were not what we received. There must be a new and an old part of this property. Our room while nice, was old and did not match the pictures. We chose to eat breakfast at the resort one morning, it was not a good value, when you pay $12 for steel cut oatmeal with whipped cream, cinnamon and seasonal berries- and you get plain oatmeal with 2.5 berries on it- tends to start the day off with a frowny face. Thankfully the properties other breakfast option the next morning made up for it.

Beautiful rustic property surrounded by nature. Charming and cozy rooms. Great dining options on property. Don't miss the trail to the beach and definitely reward yourself at the Beachcrest brewery. Their brews and pizzas are great.

A beautiful spot on the Oregon coast, across the street from the ocean, with no ocean view, very rustic, reminded me of going to lodges 20 years ago
Property is very outdated, needs to be refurbished

room was great. had all we need. shower was great. no hot water problem. breakfast smoothie, scone, donut and pizza and beer were all we had but very good!! also a bottle of very good wine was given to us as our room was not ready when we got there...and we also were upgraded to king from 2 queens which was awesome. we liked we had options like the pool, hot tub, tennis but no time to try them out. Also enjoyed the fire pits!
our fireplace didnt work but we called and someone came right away to fix it which was nice. however it didnt work the next night but we really didnt need it so not a big deal. my only complaint was the bedding - thin sheet/comforter was too light for us ...we like a little heaviness so a blanket would of been nice but just personal preference so again not a big deal. bed was very comfortable.

Beautiful property, rooms were very nice, pet friendly, easy to find, great location, staff very friendly and helpful.
My only negative was that I only had one night to spend there.
6.0 / 10.0
The room was light and spacious with a lovely balcony. But any other convenience was at an extra which for the price was very disappointing.
The indoor pool was large and well lit but no outdoor pool seems a bit sad.
We were three couples and all felt that for the money it was disappointing. Even the most modest hotels offer room cleaning daily so to pay extra seemed absurd. And not even a modest breakfast included seems equally stingy. None of us would recommend this as 'value for money. Very over-priced!

beautiful property. the fact they allow dogs.
No doggie day care. if they had doggie day care I would of spent more money at the resort.

I appreciated the location and amenities
the lack of control of the temperature of the room. fireplace all or nothing and wall heat didn’t seem to be functioning so….I lost sleep cooling the room with the door open…which I don’t feel safe doing when I travel alone.
